Great AT AT, you could do a Hoth battle scene on the rest of your wall?

First thing I thought of, entire wall with that scene would look sick!

Maybe even a crashed snow speeder at the bottom and Luke ascending up an AT-AT. 8)

Thanks guys, I really appreciate the comments. I've got a fair bit of space but there's a stack pipe right in the middle of the wall unfortunately. A bigger problem is going to be my meagre skills though.

Watched Dirty Harry earlier, haven't seen it for years ..... had to do this

 was just messing, doing a sketchy one, but thought about doing a canvas of it and putting arty wording on it in reference to the Dirty Harry line.

I know this last one ain't Star Wars, but it's the best artwork I ever did and doing all the Star Wars drawing gave me practice to do this last Terminator piece good enough, so needed to include it 8)
Nice work Richard. A hidden talent. I used to love drawing, like you say very theraputic. It's hard to sit these days with a bad back so feel for you if you can't draw because of vision issues.

Thanks JabbaWookie, sorry to hear you can't draw because of your back, nothing more frustrating than a bad back.

To be honest it's something iv'e moved on from anyway, i'm a bit weird like that I go through a phase with something and then just drop it and go to the next thing. It was always a very strong passion as a kid but when I left school and started working then art got forgotten about, but then when I turned about 21 it got sparked off again because of my love of Star Wars and wanting to draw it, so I drew for about 3 years did a few pieces then lost interest and patience for it again, and that was while my eyes were still good enough.

But now i'd never go back to it even if I got the passion back as I know my eyes won't let me.

Thanks mate, I was great with a pencil but always had the painting age of a 10 year old with a brush. i'm just dreadful with a brush.

That's some brilliant art there, very nice and bold & colourful and accurate, well done! 8)

I love how unique and a little abstract they look.

Thank you. I used to draw with pencil most my life and then around 6 years ago decided to get into painting.

Great stuff, I suppose when you've already mastered the pencil then you already have half the skill you need to paint, i'd tried painting quite a few times over the years and we do not get on well  while a piece would be passable I just for some reason could never get the accuracy down, same with pastels they just make me angry and I wanna fly into a rage. :?

Lol. As soon as I got into painting I found there were so much depths to the colour as I only used to draw with lead pencil (grayscale) and not colour. But you have obviously mastered that.

That's the great benefit with paints, you can get real nice bold colours with great depth which is hard to do with colour pencils, I always tried to get my drawings to look as bold as possible but had to settle for 'sketchy', a lot of the blacks in my drawings though I did use ink for that to enhance it. :)

Nice to see the talent that's sat within the forum, Subzero....your work is superb, said before the Terminator piece is brilliant and some cracking detailed work 8)

Ham, those pieces are super, very accomplished, some of your work is incredible I remember seeing some of your portrait/ character work previously, simply stunning work, are you still working on your art?

I've not had time over recent months, need to get back to it simply for the relaxation it affords. Han Hoth had a run in with my daughters Chocolate Lab who decided a great game was to run around the dining room table shaking the canvas!

Repaired it and finished it off, added some raised acrylic "snow" , quite appropriate with the current weather, doesn't compare with the work you guys do, but I enjoyed doing it :D

Any Han Hoth fans?
