Artistic SWFUKers Thread as requested by Michael Sith :)

Great stuff again Mike :D

I want to start model making - props from movies I like. It's getting the time though ...

Never been good with model making

As a kid used to make air fix models and always have bits left over

Prop making is pain staking work but really rewarding ....Grinchys stuff is fantastic , get some pointers from a master,

Like everything else Andy...you have to make time to chill out....switch off from the 100 mile an hour life style!

I had bits left over too Mike !

Love the idea of it :D

In this video on you tube the chap collects Bond stuff, but also makes his own props (its about 16m20s into it. The first part is about a Jaws collector :) )

 that Jaws collection is awesome..love it!

I have a few bits which I've picked up for my lad as he is a massive Jaws Fan....original movie poster, have a 1 st edition book ( not signed!) and not in immaculate condition, have the teeth moulded from the original moulds on the first Film ( thanks again Grinchy for that, my lad was made up)

But this guys collection is amazing...some of the prices are unreal :!:

The Bond collected is an absolute addict...some really cool stuff there!

Love it Mike

Yes the Jaws stuff is brill (another great movie) amazing collections - glad you liked it Mike :)

I wasn't happy with Artoo coaster, so remade him... then thought why not a Boba Fett?!??! My favourite so far :D

Me and the kids made stormies and Boba with hamma beads as Christmas decorations. Another good one to do with them are Mario and old Nintendo characters as they lend themselves perfectly to old 8bit graphics

Did you just make them up or do you know of some templates that can help/save me designing them all (which takes far longer than making them)?

The logo came from one I saw on Etsy, the others though I've taken time to make up with mixed success so far. Artoo took two goes wasting a lot of beads, Stormie was a couple of goes too, but my brother liked the version he got in the post, so no waste. Boba I fiddled with a lot to get to that one... I've been using Excel to make a grid and the fill tool to come up with the outline before committing to picking out all those fiddly beads...

Any thoughts on designs or more ideas characters to try next; let me know.
