Beautiful work there Mike, keep it up dude. Yoda looks awesome.

Grinchy loving your creatures mate I wouldn't know the first thing when it came to sculpting, you must put some hours in to those.

Celebrating four years since I said goodbye to factory work and started as an illustrator/cartoonist/caricaturist/scribbler.

Looking back I've had the pleasure of drawing a **** load of vehicles of which I've put a small selection together, I've got to get out of the transport industry :?

Ryan ...awesome work love it 8) I'm the same, Grinchys work is superb, I wouldn't have a clue where to start sculpting.

Congrats on the 4 year anniversary and getting out and doing something you want to do, utilising your gift, stellar work bud serious talents there.
You done anything for childrens book illustrations ?

I wish I could get off the merry go round and live from something I love doing, alas my drawing skills are only at a fun level, and my poetry that of a fluffy nature but not commercial, so not a chance of that.

Turned 50 recently, so I would say to anyone, if you get the chance to follow a dream, then go for it, don't look back, always look forward, all you need is a family around you and a roof over your head :D

Cheers for posting Ryan, again love the illustrations 8) fantastic work :D

All the best guys keep it comin :D

cheers guys, i've been sculpting since i was a kid, self taught like most of the people i know, great work on the illustrations, do i see a bit of big daddy roth influence in a couple of them, love it! and your calvin and hobbes profile pic to

Mate that is fantastic work, however, if had that in my house I wouldn't go in the room it was in  just in case it was too real
:?

Superb work mate 8)

Bluedog, quality pieces there my friend. Thank you for sharing. ~:D

This is my latest acrylic painting of a Peruvian man I met on my travels, nearly finished. Hopefully I'll be able to share it with him someday...

Ham...that is such a a beautiful piece, the composition and colour of the subject is fantastic, capturing age, but youth at the same time, maybe that's just me, but it says look at my face and understand my life :D

Superb work buddy,

I know you are not on the SW merry go round now, but keep posting your work, it is fantastic :D

Thank you Michael for your kind and understanding words. A man with so little with such happiness on his face. Also the bars behind him is kind of a symbol of being free. True happiness. ~:D

Of course I will still be on the boards and look forward to seeing more of your work for sure. I hope it's going well.

The shadowing on the Peruvian guy is superb top marks Ham.

Grinchy everytime I scroll through this and see your horror stuff I **** myself a little bit as its so lifelike.

Been inpsired of late to paint again myself. Unfortunately all I seem to enjoy doing these days is painting more 'pop' inspired stuff old labels, packaging from my childhood. Probably due to my daytime job of being a designer I suppose and studying letterforms, logos etc. My only problem is I get so far into something and then become so critical I put my fist through the canvas, much to the disappointment of the Mrs. Oh well gives me something to do in the evening

PC. I agree, Ian's work is so realistic it scares the cack out of me as well

Sounds like artistic temperament mate.

Think of a subject way outside what you would normally paint, then have a pop at that, maybe that way you won't be so self critical, with preconceptions branded into your head

Spread your wings :D

Looking back over some of my past work, this is still one of my favourite pieces, the lifesize ET, love the movie it still chokes me up every time and i'm not ashamed to say it, :D
