Aresenal 5-2Spurs, Giggs LEGEND 900 Apps and winning goal!!

after a couple of hours, you would at least think a statement may be put out saying he's stable.
i've got a bad feeling about this. :(

he has been admitted to the heart attack centre, at the london chest hospital?
he remains in a critical position :(

Yeah i was listening to it live on the radio. It seemed for a long time like he was already dead. Many of the players were in tears and those with gods were seen to be praying. They tried to revive him for nearly 10 minutes before taking him off to hospital. It was said that he still wasn't breathing as he left the pitch. A statement was released saying he was "stable" which was then updated to "critically ill". I really hope he pulls through but it doesn't look good.

Fingers crossed he pulls through. Scary that someone so young can have a heart attack/cardiac arrest. Puts things in perspective!

looks like he's heading in the right direction. fingers crossed it's the start of a full recovery.

Yeah he's pulled off a near miracle.
Tho it's unlikely he'll ever play football again i think he and his family will take having him walking and talking again for now.

I'm sure his family would have bitten your hands off if you'd offered them having him back, but him never playing football again!

Apparently he is/was training as a doctor anyway, so I guess he has an alternative career sorted. Also, if he's smart enough to do medicine AND fit in playing/training professional football he must be smarted than every other footballer in the PL put together.............though that doesn't say much.

He wont play football again for sure, people with these genetic flaws in the hearts electric pulses cannot be insured by the PL.

Its a shame, he is one lucky guy, and im sure he would happily give up football for a normal life.

He could come and play for Liverpool!

Even if he keeled over, he couldn't be any worse than the shite we have now!

With the team/squad they have they should be. I would say thier squad is stronger than Utd's!

I would say Man U have a better defence than us and better forward/s. That unfortunately is where you win the league. Not in midfield. No team in the Premier league has as good a midfield as spurs.

My Spurs/Man U XII would be:

Goal: Friedel
CB: Vidic, Ferdinand
RB: Walker
LB: Evra
MF: Valencia, VD Vaart, Parker, Bale, Modric
FW: Rooney

6 Spurs players and 5 Man U players.

I dunno (about Utd having a better defence/forward line).
De Gea, whilst admittedly a good keeper, has looked distinctly pish at points this season. Rio is on a downward slope, and quite a steep one at that. Vidic, whilst quality is currently injured and thus useless. Evra has been regressing for two or three years. Raphael is very impetuious. Johnny Evans has actually improved with regular games, but is still no more than a very good PL player. Smalling and Jones are both good players with big futures ahead of them but Fergy bought them for 3 years time not now (he even admitted as much).

As for Utd's forwards, Rooney is the definition of a form player. When he's hot, he's unplayable. When he's not he's a waste of space. Wellbeck is very similar to Evans, a very good PL player but I suspect the top European defenders would be rubbing their hands at the thought of marking him. Hernandez looks good, but I get the impression Fergy isn't 100% sure about him yet. Berbatov has been criminally under played but we all know Fergy doesn't trust him. Owen's career ended when he left Real. Oh and do I need to comment on Bebe!?

On balance, I'd probably take Spuds squad, but I'd want cover at CB and possibly an extra RB as I'm not sure Walker is anything other than a new Glen Johnson.

Rooney does have a dry patch every year but so does Adebayor (our best forward) but Rooney has 24 goals this season and Adebayor has 13.
Rooney is so unbelievably better than any forward at Spurs it's not even measurable but if you just count the goals he's scored in a very average season for him and Man U then he kills it.

Hernandez hasn't featured much this season. In and out the team with injury and has 10 goals. A full season up front this guy would break 20.
Then Welbeck who again doesn't play as much as Rooney has 8 goals. A so so return.

For Spurs we rarely play any other forward but Adebayor. Our 2nd most prolific striker is Defo with an impressive 10 goals and then Saha with 4.
