I think you're being harsh on Adebayor there (and I feel bad defending a twat like him). He gives Spurs a lot more than just goals. He's a very clever player round the box and his link up play allows VDV time and space. Plus Rooney has penalties for United (at the min that's a guaranteed one a game at OT). I gotta be honest and admit i dunno who takes them for spuds, but have half a notion it's VDV. Also, does Rooney not get the odd free kick for United? Granted, you can argue they are strings to his bow that Ade doesn't have but it does tilt the whole 'goals scored' thing in his favour.

Plus I think Rooney, suffers from the same syndrome as Beckham, Lampard, Gerrard, Terry etc. Yes, he is a very good player and a very good CL standard player, but he's NOT as good as the (English) media make him out to be. Would Real or Barca (the two best sides in Europe) want him ATM?

Agree Re Hernandez, injury makes it hard to judge his season. Last season he could have been having an Amr Zaki-esque run of form, or it could be an accurate reflection of his abilities, we need more time to tell.

I feel sorry for Defoe, I think he's a great player. He just doesn't fit Spurs system. At A.N Other big club (ie anyone above, but not including L'pool) he would have 20 goals this season. But he does give you virtually nothin outside the box.

One thing for certain i'd rather have Spurs squad than Liverpool's!

I agree about Defo. He's a class finisher but just doesn't fit with what we do.
With regards to the defence it is very close. Personally i don't think either team has a particularly good defence. Except our keeper who is the best in the league along with Hart.
There are very few Liverpool players i'd want in the Spurs team. Skrtle is a no brainer... but he's also a good defender so i'd have him. :lol: Suarez is overrated, Carrol belongs in a Stoke or Sunderland team. Gerard is past it. Adam is a one trick pony (set pieces) Downing will give you a solid 3 performances per season and that tall skinny guy you bought who plays in midfield is just utterly forgettable as a player. I like Enrique but don't think he's better than Ekottu.

I agree about most of Pool team. Suarez, I think suffers as people see the reputation and thus he doesn't get the credit he deserves. Not saying he's a world beater (or particularly nice individual), granted he needs to score more goals, but he is a livewire and I'm sure defenders hate playing against him.

I think Spurs would take Agger as well. Another under-rated player. Great defender and scores some great free kicks, when he's allowed near them. Unfortunately he's made of chocolate, but then you have Ledley so that's clearly not an issue.

I also really rate Reina. Friedel is a great keeper no doubts about it, but between the two I'd take Reina, if only cos he's about 8 years younger! Yes, he has had a poor season this year, but in previous years he's been superb, and if you had to play behind that liverpool team would you not be tempted to hang yourself?

Ekotto needs a ****ing hair cut! For that (totally pointless reason) I wouldn't take/pick him. But I agree there isn't a huge amount between him and Enrique. Possibly the only other one Spurs might want is Bellamy, but if you have Bale and Lennon, do you need another pacey forward? Possibly not.

Yeah agree about Agger too. I'd take him in a heart beat. As i said earlier, i just don't reckon any of our defenders. If Agger is fit he's better than anything we've got by some distance.
For me Reiner vs Freidel is very close but Friedel has never lost form in 299 consecutive games in the premier league. A record which will never be beat.
Bellamy, no. I think he should play every game for Liverpool he's quality but you have a bad manager so he sits on the bench. As you said tho, we have 2 of the best/fastest wingers in the game so no need for him. He wouldn't get in the team.
And i never said Suarez wasn't good just overrated. I think he has the ability to be a decent player but so far has only shown sporadic bursts of quality. Doesn't do it enough at the moment and 8 goals is a piss poor return.

Yeah I don't think his wee break in the middle of the season helped him either! :lol:
