It says they are original in the description....But they are only at £40 at the moment?....I have no idea how to tell the difference between original and fake cards :? Is there a website that can help me tell the difference? I've had a look on the imperial gunnery but it only covers loose weapons, not cards :(

C'mon Chewie, we told you about the punch tabs here: http://www.starwarsforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=7856 :) As for a website to help- just look at everyone else's limelights of MOCs.

What a ****. I wonder how many people out there think they have a collection full of original figures when they're really all fakes!? That's going to be a hell of a comedown when they find out!

This guy is a swine. I have reported his auctions to Ebay, probably too late on three of them.
Another seller to add to the block list!

All sold for a lot of money too. A few of the guys on SWCC are gonna keep an eye on his account and message the buyers if and when they leave feedback. Scamming bastard.

This is pretty outrageous! I saw these earlier today and although they look blatently fake to anyone who has a number of MOCs they could easilyfool a less experienced MOC collector. Chewie is a case in point. (Sorry Neil) Just as well Neil is on here. Others will not be so lucky. This tosspot should be shot! His description doesnt lie as such, it is just very brief and missing the vital info that these are blatent recards!

His 3CP0 was described as "in it's original packaging" so that's completely fraudulent. As to the vagueness in the other descriptions, just shows he knows exactly what he's doing.

Chewie, another tell tale sign on those cards is the black border around the edge is too wide. Just look at an original card to see the difference.

No need to apologise Chris  Like you say i'm just glad i've got you guys to put me right. The people who have bought them obviously believe they have bought the real McCoy..... :( It states in the listing that they are Original/Unopened......The only thing that alerted me was the price was too low.

If you'd have had a couple of newbies bidding £100 or more i would have just thought they were original

Thanks for the help, and thanks for the tip about the edges Paul

I'm learning all the time :) This is the type of person who makes me think i should just buy graded ones.

I hope John Kellerman hurrys up with his 2nd edition of the Star Wars Figures book......I think i need it :?

Do you have the first edition of the kellerman book Neil? The basic tell tale signs the guys have mentioned here regarding hang punch location and black card border should be noticeable in those pics. In the vast majority of repro cards there is a noticeable difference in the print quality. Vintage kenner cards were printed using a series of closely packed dots visible close up. Although there are example of repricing cards that replicate this effect they are few and far between thank god. The problem is that you need to inspect the.card close up to see this. Its just not possible from auction pics. If you ever wanna borrow my version of the kellerman book Neil let me know. Happy to lend it to you. You may have to pay postage though. Lol.

Are these original or fake?

Damn it i thought this was another titty related thread

Chewie the punch is the simplest give away and lack of full description and plentiful quality photos.

usually if someone is selling real ones they put in effort this dick doesnt and that rings alarms.
And they in the too good to be true category and makes me wary even if its loose weapon i am buying.

Reported..... (on the Tusken)

Tricky as the reporting section isn't very specific for stuff like this.

Counterfeits and breach of copyright.
Bootleg and counterfeit media.
Unauthorised copies of printed material.
The seller is selling reproduced packaging and passing it off as original. It's a scam.

I would suggest we all do the same.

Hopefully Ebay will get the message.

I've reported the obi wan to ebay and i've also sent the seller a message about the death squad commander asking if it is completely real and from 1977 to see if he really is purposefully selling fakes.
