Morning everyone

I had a couple of purchases that I was waiting to purchase on here plus was also in talks with Bram about a diorama. Apologies to those that are waiting for me to make payment, the company I work for have gone into administration and at present am not working so consequently not earning. I'm hopeful that the company is going to get purchased but at current don't want to spend money whilst my job is up in the air. I don't want to sell any of my Star Wars stuff but am currently selling some other stuff to try and raise the funds to pay the purchases that I have asked for on here. I will send anybody I have agreements with a message today and hopefully will find in the money ASAP to pay you all.

Apologies once again.

Mate, you aren't the first and won't be the last person that these things happen to

You will find that the guys on here are very sympathetic so I shouldn't worry about that. The important thing is to make sure you have provision for you & your family. At the end of the day, we all love our vintage collections but given the choice then it is a no brainer.

Went through something similar last year and ended up moving to a different company - job is a lot better, offers more security and I haven't looked back since

This type of thing seems quiet common nowadays.

Both myself and my wife were notified of redundancies (during the same week!!) earlier this year. That month was hell, and we ended up scrapping the plans for a new kitchen which out of luck we delayed the signing up to by a few days so did not lose any money on.

I ended up selling a few star wars pieces most of which are easy to replace, and the kitchen in still on hold.

However I'm happy to say we both made it through the bad patch and kept our jobs :)

So you are not alone, chin up and we have our fingers crossed that you make it through this bad spell.

All the best :)

I'm sorry to hear this mate. Fair play to you for the way you are dealing with this.
Fingers crossed that everything works out well for you.
Best of luck.

Sorry to hear this mate, I hope it gets better with work for you in the future.

Good luck mate

Sorry to here this buddy. You seem to be dealing with it in the right way though. The guys on here I'm sure will be very sympathetic and totally understand your situation. You've done the right thing as well reaching out and letting people know what is going on.

Keep your chin up matey and it will all be fine in the end.

Cheers lads

Hopefully it'll be fine and company purchased in coming weeks, luckily my wife has a good jobs so we can cover bills just gets a little tight for life's luxuries like Star Wars.

Sorry to hear that and you've done more than most by being honest, a lot of people just disappear and ignore emails which is annoying for sellers.

Hi bud,

I wondered where you had gone! Not a problem on the diorama matey, take your time and make sure that you have everything sorted at home and work.

I'm sure that anyone who was mid sell with you will be happy to wait until you are back on your feet.

Hopefully you'll be back in full swing soon.

Good luck.

Bram

All the best to you mate, and your open honesty speaks volumes for your character mate

Things will get better chin up :D

Great post Boba. I don't care what anyone says we are all in a fortunate position in ths day and age if our wages are going in the bank at the and of the month. There's no such thing as a job for life anymore and at th end of th day those little bits of plastic are not that important.

Cheers for all the kind words today lads, really appreciate it and everyone on this forum has been excellent since I joined the forum.

I managed to sell my Master System today and have paid for most the purchases that I had agreed to, I only have one agreed purchase left to pay for and to sort out with Bram, but thanks to everyone understanding the situation.
Will do my best to deal with last couple of purchases over next few days as don't like to let people down.

Thanks once again.

I can only echo what others have said, your character shows in the way you have been open about this. Your honesty should be a true asset for a new employer. Hope you get things sorted soon, but at least in the meantime your wife's job will pay for the essentials.

Hear, hear- and as others have said, your honesty speak volumes. All the best Mr Skinner, and I hope this uncertain time you are going through results in a happy outcome.

Good luck with it all buddy and fair play to you.

Sad to hear of your predicament which is so common these days :(
