Anyone with a spare $100k to start a Fett focus?

That's about £58 grand with the exchange rate as it is. If you could get them for less I'm sure there would be some profit in breaking the collection down and piecing them out.

If up got them for £55 grand then that's a lot of money tied up in plastic. I'm sure the pieces will take an age to move as well.

An amazing collection for sure though.

41 fett moc's inc 4 Star Wars and 3 esb 21s, a popu, 2 droids moc's, a revenge proof, 2 graded Lili ledys inc a removable rocket. 4 graded light blue loose. Plus all those mailers and skiffs.

Plus other bits

The only Fett moc i like are the Jedi "screen-shoot" version with no stickers or offers (this one). Always wanted one of these.

And the trilogo (which he doesn't have)

Never been a fan of the earlier painted Fett picture cardback. Always thought it looked awful. :?

The way that these sell out then I would think that there is some money in buying this set - and maybe even hanging on to it for a year - but you'd definitely want to collect it in person

Don't often agree with Erik the Douche but that is a pretty spectacular sales thread

Pete 100% agree with you

I only like the 'desert scene' Fett with no offer/stickers and the Trilogo, which I can't believe he doesn't have!

Not a fan of space background Fett Cardback, just looks a bit naff really

Allen (the seller) had an unfortunate incident with a Trilogo Fett a couple of years ago actually, he bought an AFA graded French/Meccano one (small bubble) and it got badly damaged in transit. If I remember rightly in order for him to get his money back the post office had to have the Fett destroyed ( ) so I think he probably decided a cardback was enough for him after that ordeal!

Sad to see him sell up, always been a really nice guy to chat to :(

Has Boba Fett mania really got so bad that people think an average cost of over 2k per figure on a bulk deal of 50 MOCs is a reasonable price!? The fever pitch over this figure will never cease to amaze me. You would have to be mad to spend that kind of money on this collection. Is anything in there even rare, like one or two of a kind? I've probably owned at least half of those MOCs at some point.

Sure Boba Fett MOCs would always sell for a couple of hundred each back when I was collecting MOCs, but nothing like this. He'll be laughing all the way to the bank if he gets anywhere near that, assuming he wasn't silly enough to buy them all in the last couple of years.

its a stunning collection, quite a few were mine, if i was rich i would snap that lot up (not for that price though)

still its nice to see

Impressive collection. But even with a Euro millions win I wouldn't go for these, and i'm not sure why :?

Personally I don't know if I would buy a collection such as this regardless of my economic position. Would you really get any satisfaction from buying a ready made collection? And then where do you go after that? Hunt down a nice Tri Logo fett, try to get a rocket fett, preproduction?$?$?

While the collection is definitely an impressive sight to behold I don't think I could ever buy a relatively complete collection and feel satisfied - thrill of the hunt, uncovering a hidden gem etc. etc. Just my own personal opinion.

Given the crazy prices that Fetts command on the bay at the moment I definitely think there is value to be had from buying it and selling it piece by piece. Prime example is the yellow bubble 21b on the bay at the moment for $6.5k, it will probably sell within a week

That's why!

As Yogi said - it's a collection that someone else has put together. Not into this ready made collection lark. It's the same when people buy a complete set of figures. The actual collecting is part of the fun and someone has done all that for you. Dull

it would take a hell of a long tome to acquire that lot, i love fett and i would love those if i could display and afford them, regardless of the thrill of the hunt.

i see what you mean and each to their own but i wouldn't go out and buy those separately for the fun of it, i would merely start on some other focus to collect :)

the thrill of finding your own figures is great but when you can buy something so complete.....i wouldn't be able to resist.

I agree with the comments about the 2 different pictures.
I recently purchased the slightly lamer one, as buying a MOC Fett had been a long term desire of mine. The reasonable price was too good to refuse and the timing was right. In the future if i get the chance to upgrade him to the film picture version i will.
I also agree with the comments about buying a ready made focus, where is the focus in that?
With the whole TT Palitoy Fett malarkey the supply and demand price premium for Kenners may go even higher.

All that money and not one Palitoy logo MOC Fett tut tut

That's one thing I've got on that set!! :D

but still, that's an awesome Fett collection 8)

wonder if it will sell in one go?

The guy is in LA. put a deposit down, quick trip to Celebration 7 in April. Shoot round to his house and pick it up.

All I need now is £50 grand spare and its a goer.

Incredible collection

Not sure I could send that amount of £ tho as has been said. Wheres the thrill of the hunt gonna come from :?
