I did not read the whole thing, but I will say there exists a private email/chat group. It is mainly for trades. So yes a sorta private thing exists, but there are from what I know squabbles and bullshit amoungst them. After setting up my own FB group and looing at another I can understnd the reason for being selective now. **** now I sound elitist. On a side note, I am not part of this secret or not so secret group as there are a few that despise me on there and the feeling is mutual.

Although it's funny, I'm sure to a certain extent it is true. I know people have said the same about this forum before. And I hold my hands up that in the past I have gone straight to people I know will be interested when I want to pass on something cool rather than put it on the 'open market' because I know that person will appreciate it more, or just because I consider them a friend so want to do them a favour.

That's just life I'm afraid, favouritism does exist, we all do it, and there's nothing you can do about it. But it's probably not as much of an "old boys club" or as smoke and mirrors as most people think.

I fully get the friends thing but from what I know, some of them grit their teeth to score a nice item as some of them truely dislike each other. Others get dropped from "The list" if they fall out of favor with classic ass wipes like Gallo.(wait last word was they kicked him out :lol: )..to name one. All in all no biggie, we all have closer friends within this community and we will offer to them first. The one thing with me is, If I do not care for you it really does not matter what you are peddling.....I do not want it.

I think some people are confusing inner circles with friendship groups like Edd suggests above. That accounts for the majority of the conspiracies.
However, the 'big one on RS' probably is as Todd describes and is a list or group that emails each other privately. I'd expect that though. It's what friends do.

I think the point Todd was alluding to is that membership of certain groups of "friends" who may not be friends in the real sense of the word, but there for a score.
