Anybody else self isolating?

Still at work but going to be working from home for much of the next few weeks. Going to be diffcult with three kids and the other half in the house but will still go in occasionally for some peace

Gonna be a lot of babies born at Christmas this year.

And probably a lot more people filing for divorce too. Imagine the joys of self isolating in a house with the other half as you file for divorce. :|

The government in denmark told us no sex a few weeks ago as long as the corona virus is in denmark. I can't wait to see if danes have done what the government told them or if we will see many babies for christmas

Blimey, my cousin is expecting next month and she works in a hospital.

How do you dig up dinosaur bones without being at a dig

I've had a cough for the last few days, so following yesterday's advice from the government I'm now housebound for the next couple of weeks. I'm not convinced I have Coronavirus, but I think it's wise to follow the latest advice for the sake of others even as a precaution. If I was young, free and single this would have been brilliant as I'm currently not working and could have just played computer games for 2 weeks, but with two toddlers in the house it's already starting to wear thin  I'm also a bit worried it's going to impact the new job I'm supposed to be starting soon, it looks like businesses are already starting to fail. Oh, and did I mention there's no football!?

Anyone else got it or staying at home to be safe?

How are you feeling edd_jedi ?

I hope that she does not get corona. They talked about that today in the danish news, danish nurses that is pregnant, should they stay far away from people on the hospital with corona. Experts say that would be the best, so I guess they will get other duties at the hospitals. The government will also now test all pregnant women for corona in denmark, I think that is a good idea.

Still at work and looks like I will be for months to come. There seems to be a lot of vague advice and contradiction going on. Advising social distancing and criticising those going to pubs etc, but not closing these places is pathetic. They just don't want to have to support them financially if they close. Pubs, restaurants, clubs etc should be closed now, unless they are offering support to the community such as food deliveries.

Schools is a tricky one, but again the advice is vague and confusing. Do you still send your children to school if your other half is a key worker? Can you only send them if both of you are let workers? We're both teachers, but we really don't want our boys at their schools anymore. What can we do? Hopefully after today, when exact numbers are realised, some sort of rotation will be in place for staff so people in our situation will be able to keep their children at home.

Made me laugh the other day when they were talking about the importance of social distancing, then said schools are a safe place. Yes, children are less susceptible, but they will be the worst spreaders of this disease for obvious reasons. Also, are all school staff immune from this? We know someone who has children in 3 different schools and is a key worker in a care home. I wonder how many people they will have infected between them by the time this is over.

Sorry but did someone say sex was banned in Denmark? :?

yes the government has told us to stop having sex, kissing and hug that can spread more virus.

People need to stay 2 meters away from each other on the street and in shops and we are only allowed to be in groups of 10 people on the street, shops and in private homes or else the police will give a £200 fine.

Shops that are not allowed to be open will get a much bigger fine, yesterday a pub got a fine because they had open from the backdoor, the police also closed the pub.

Don't worry, we're not allowed to have sex in shops either

Are we not? ****, that's why I got banned from the undertakers then!

I'm still here :) haven't shaken off the cold yet, I don't think it's coronavirus but the lack of testing is not helping, would be nice to know. I'm staying in as much as possible, just getting a bit of excercise by walking in the countryside.

I've had a sore throat for a week, saw some little marks in there and a small lump, (the lump has almost gone now) wasn't worried that it was covid 19 but was worried about it being something else so went to the denist and he said it's a viral mouth infection, the word viral just scares me now, I wouldn't of cared about a viral throat infection not that long ago. I don't have a temperature but still have my cough from December but that has started getting better in the last week or two.

Really worried about these growing numbers and that the kids don't seem to care about it and are just carrying on as normal.
