I've had a cough for the last few days, so following yesterday's advice from the government I'm now housebound for the next couple of weeks. I'm not convinced I have Coronavirus, but I think it's wise to follow the latest advice for the sake of others even as a precaution. If I was young, free and single this would have been brilliant as I'm currently not working and could have just played computer games for 2 weeks, but with two toddlers in the house it's already starting to wear thin  I'm also a bit worried it's going to impact the new job I'm supposed to be starting soon, it looks like businesses are already starting to fail. Oh, and did I mention there's no football!?

Anyone else got it or staying at home to be safe?

We've been asked to WFH for an initial week but realistically with the government advice yesterday and the way this thing appears to develop that week will probably get extended.

I can work from home normally whenever I want or need to normally but I really don't like doing so. I suspect I'll like it even less when the youngest one is not at nursery tomorrow and when schools eventually shut down it will be a nightmare. Still, better safe than sorry and all that.

Hope you don't have it, or get just a mild version edd_jedi

I've got some health issues so keeping a low profile. Two people at my work have been sent home with symptoms. It's a troubling time for everyone. I'm hoping as this thing continues we'll be able to make more sense of it and adapt. Definitely for the best if you've got a cough. Last thing you want to do is spread it. The thing to remember is everyone is in the same boat, whether it be work, mortgage, etc. The whole world is effected. Plus it's going to last a while. Probably not a bad time to revisit the Prequels or write down the COO's of all of your figures. Anything to keep sane!

Gonna be a lot of babies born at Christmas this year.

And probably a lot more people filing for divorce too. Imagine the joys of self isolating in a house with the other half as you file for divorce. :|

There's 8 and a half months from my dads birthday to mine and I'm pretty sure I was a bit early so, er, 1980 was a very happy birthday

I look after my mother who would be classed as vulnerable, so the door is closed. Will finally get the house clean as the fantha tracks in release order.

Give it 2 weeks and see what happens. Theres some good news coming out of the Far East regarding contagion - so best take it one day at a time.

I am expecting a long "break" this Easter for everyone, if not before.
It's a worry for all of us not only health wise but financially for each and everyone of us.
Stay safe everyone.

I work from home, but there is not going to be any work for me for the foreseeable future, so very worrying. Both sets of in-laws are self isolating.

I will be able to keep my head above water for a while, but it is very concerning, the knock on affect could be catastrophic.

Oh and I'm 40 on Monday, trip to Barcelona with family and friends is obviously off, as is any social gathering, so rock and roll!

Main thing is everyone stays as safe as possible, so take care everyone. One thing's for sure we're all going to be a lot skinter!

Hope all is ok Edd, better to err on the side of caution

I'm working from home, as I guess a lot more will have to in the coming weeks

Yes it's going to be tough from a worrying point of view, and financial point of view, but all we can do is keep safe and follow advice

Keep safe everyone

Don't watch too much news and replace social media for swfuk. We'll get through this. Take it one day at a time.

I wish !!!!!! I'm currently busy co-ordinating staff for our organisation, completing risk assessments, sending letters to parents/families and the only thing I'm looking forward to is breaking up on Friday for 11 days and me and misses are off to Wales to get away 👌😎

I am not able to work much and when I do I work from home. My wife is now working from home for the foreseeable future. Both sets of parents are self isolating. I am looking forward to getting the Disney subscription from 24th March. Finally get to watch the Mandalorian. Stay safe everyone.

In denmark where I live, schools have been closed since thursday last week, also nearly all public employees was sent home for 2 weeks last thursday, borders was closed in and out of denmark and yesterday the government closed all malls unless they sell food or medicin, ikea also closed in denmark today. Airports and ferries closed last week. They try to keep this corona virus very low so not so many get sick.

I am still working but my boss talk about sending me home from monday, I could use a week or more home so that would be fine.

So far I fell fine and I do not know any one who is sick. I have never been so clean since this corona, I am cleaning my office every day at work, I clean the inside of my car every day and I wash my hands so many times every day, I hope that is enough to get virus free.

The government in denmark told us no sex a few weeks ago as long as the corona virus is in denmark. I can't wait to see if danes have done what the government told them or if we will see many babies for christmas

oh and forgot to tell all dentists, fitness clubs, chiropractor, tattoo shops, tanning salons, restaurants, café, pubs and discotheques was also closed in denmark yesterday. We are also only allowed to be 10 people in a home or in a group outside or else the police will give you a fine.

These certainly are highly unusual and worrying times!

I hope everyone here who's feeling ill is soon on the mend, and for those of us who will get the virus in the future, I hope we all recover fast.

I think there is a full lock down like Italy, France and Spain around the corner. :?

Yep. Rumours are sooner rather than later.

I am self-isolating due to health conditions.
