Hi

Just wondering if any of you chaps are playing gta online. I'm on ps3. Bloody rubbish at it but trying to level up.

Yup Chris

YodasApprentice, so its you I see online every now and then

I see Tundra on every now and then, I can never remember who the other users are as the names don't match their SWFUK names.

X-pack I will add you and you can join my crew too. We can tear up Los Santos

You will be levelling up in no time 8)

Until then just join quick job - contact mission

I think my user ID is x-pack

I have a little Ghostbusters thing as my avatar. I don't get on as much as i'd like to, especially not with GTA because it's not child friendly. But add me and if I see you we'll team up :) That goes for anyone else on here.

So far i'm about level 9. Sick of getting owned by griefers but liking the online game. In the offline mode I have around 500,000,000 each for my characters. Played the stock market 8) Only thing is that once you own everything there's very little to do. Took a long time to switch to online.

That's me. Play online occasionally but mainly single player.

I play online all the time guys but on xbox 360. Currently ranked 144. Cant wait for xbox one version on Nov 18th with diffferent radio music! then i can finally ditch and move onto next gen for good :D

Really want to get a PS4 but just can't find a reason to. It seems as though most titles are coming out on PS3 as well. If the PS4 had been backwards compatible I would have got one ages ago.

As for GTA online i've been tearing it up. Currently at level 13 which isn't bad considering it's only been a few hours of gameplay here and there. Staring to enjoy the game all over again.

I have a strong feeling there was more to do in San Andreas if you finished the offline game. GTA5 feels a bit empty once you've done all the missions and played the stock market. My only wish is that you could turn off the swearing in GTA5. Hardly ever get to play it because it's in no way suitable for our kids to see. Come to think of it i'm pretty sure it's not suitable for adults either

How I wish this was an option... I am happy to let Jr Jr run around shooting and running over people but it is all done with no sound whatsoever as the language is the most offensive 'unavoidable' part of the game. Don't get me wrong, the torture scenes, the celebrity sex voyeurism, drug use and prostitution etc are not for kids but they are all avoidable, you cannot escape the casual foul language without muting the game completely.

Because mine are step kids there's just no way. Mrs used to winge about what her ex let the kids get up to on the internet. Letting them even get a sniff of gta would make me look a right hypocrite. :x

I am familiar with the situation... a good example must be set

Pisses me off. If there were none of this political bullshit over step kids I imagine they would be playing GTA with me

But yes ...some of the in game scenes are shockingly amusing. The paparazzi mission was like  :? :p

Yup the little 'un is not allowed to start the ? missions, or watch the cut scenes from any missions, some missions had to be avoided completely, no play with the sound on or go into the shoe shop (which is what he thought the high heel icon represented  ) the trouble is he comes home from his mates house where he has been allowed to do most of the above anyway

He is too naive to pick up on the billboards, hookers and business names etc, he just wants to drive around town in a supercar.

The problem is if you tell someone your kid plays GTA they assume you just let them see and do everything...

Peer pressure is a massive thing. Used to be trainers and smoking when I was a kid. Probably not all that different now. Scary when you are a parent though

Today I made up a few levels on GTA. At level 16 now. Won a couple of races. Hung out front on one for four laps and then crashed into a palm tree on the last corner  Some of the missions are so hard it's infuriating. Was trying to recover packages in a helicopter with three other players shooting missiles at me. impossible

Stick to the contact missions to grind out cash and level up... NPC baddies are easier to kill than other users and you get increased RP and cash the more people you are playing with. They have tweaked the payouts recently so the highest paid missions have dropped in payout and the smaller missions have increased in payout so in general an hour of random contact missions pays out quite well.

Death matches and Vs missions pay and rank well if you win, but at level 16 you will may struggle against higher ranked players.

Racing is fun but the rewards only come in winning long races with lots of players. There are also to many **** 'user created' races to wade through.

Parachuting is just plain odd, I don't do it very often. The jumps don't pay very well but they are quick.

Survival ranks and pays well if you complete every wave, but it takes ages and you can easily use up a lot of expensive ammo.

I have sent you a friend request, when do you get online?

Also, have you joined a crew yet?

These guys look cool

Some weeks I get on quite a bit but its usually in the day. Saturday is a possibility as the kids are away at there dads. Working day shifts this week so not on at all. I'll pick up you request when I get chance. Not in a crew. Only had one other request.

I'm ok in a race as long as its bikes. The retrieve missions are my favourite but usually end up on my own. The invite system seems crap. When you aren't with a group its hard to start missions with more then one or two players.

I will look out for you to appear on my friends list... If I get online its in the evenings mostly.

Crews can be handy for doing missions if you join the right one. Some crews have specific styles of play, so there might a crew out there that only does the retrieve (contact) missions, if you find one and they have plenty of members you won't be short of people to play with. You can join more than one crew and you get RP bonus for playing with crew members so join up, there is a spot in the Super Goons waiting for you.

Bike races are good fun, usually you only have to avoid crashing to rank well as most people just crash and burn.

The invite system has improved recently and now merges groups between missions to help keep the numbers up, the biggest problem is people leaving the session, why the heel do so many people join for one mission then quit? I am not keen on adding friends I do not know but if you have a good session with a like minded player add them as a friend.

I have a few playlists if you want to grind out RP and cash but its not as much fun as playing random missions.
