I'm trying to create a booklet that has a mixture of Landscape and portrait pages

It is possible to have it so that the page numbers all appear as they would in a portrait page, even if the page was landscape?

In other words when the book is opened all page numbers appear at the bottom of the page, even if landscape...which in the current setting would appear to be on the side of the page when looking through

That at least I can do.

Seems odd that it can't be done the way that I want though. Would seem like a common thing people would want to do

Gary,

I'm no expert but I just ****ed about with Word for a minute and found if you enter a section break for the next page under the page layout tab you can then change the orientation of the following sheets without changing the ones before.

The might be other ways to do it though. Hope that helps.

I don't know about altering the page numbers but I think you can skip one if you need.

If you put a footer in you can get the page numbers to run sequentially even on the landscape pages.

Yeah i managed that...just

What I ideally want is to have the numbers in the same place as a portrait page but on a landscape. So when the landscape page is turned round to be the same way as a portrait, the number is at the bottom of the page rather than appearing on the side.

The whole booklet will be in portrait view

Ahhh I see. Well in that case I think the best option is to use a text box like Rich says. It's a bit **** but I think altering the text to be landscape whilst leaving the page portrait might be pretty tricky.
