I hope I'm not offending anyone here but I just don't see the appeal:

Im sure its rare but for 2000 dollars do you really want to put a cardboard box in a plastic box, then pride of place in your limelight? What exactly have AFA graded at 90?

I just don't get it.

them pictures have made me quite sick, do u graders sell body parts on the side?? proper wrong that that regardless of condition ,why did it take idiots to rip of a card that had been paired since the 70s 80s there is a verry good reason why we are able to buy and collect carded figures now is because great star wars collectors from dot have saved and loved then passed on theese priceless pieces of our generation so that we can collect and love and then pass on, not to be destroyed , a collector probably had that on his fire place for 30 yrs for what? a quick buck merchant!!! im off now to melt down a skyway ta :o :o :o

Exactly... what have they graded? The tape job? What distinguishes a 90 from a 40? AFA you are sweaty bollocks.

The problem is AFA not the people that do this. Although he is a **** for sending this off to be taken out of a sealed box, AFA are the bigger ****'s for actually going along with this U-grading ****. As has been said before, AFA only in all of this for the money they take off people.

You say that - but I believe that Steve at UKG refuses to U-grade certain items - and I don't think that there is anyone else out there that could call themselves a significant toy grading company - therefore if AFA chose to stop doing this, I don't believe there is anyone that could take their place

That would be in an ideal world and like you say UKG refuse only some items not all (if I read that correct?). If the gap appeared in the market someone with the required knowledge and experience of collecting would surely seek to gain as there is sadly a profit to be had?

Neither do I mate. So the unopened box containing lovely unopened mailers goes in a box that can't be opened. Eh!? :?

he has some great mail away packs TBH and if i had a sealed multipack i think i would get it graded only to stop me from opening the damn thing
