But then i looked at the minty stormie and the Shadow trooper and thought POON??

China making packaging that good ,, with those figures as new makes me think that maybe he has found a company to make his figures or packaging or both.

This is Poon's work. Either someone else got hold of his stuff or more likely he's selling them through this company. You know he works for a chinese plastics company don't you.
Hate to say it but i was waving the warning flag about this guy well over a year ago. I asked MOD on RS why Poon was allowed to sell his repros and customs on RS when their rules "strictly" prohibited it. It seemed people liked his work and so it was ok. Couldn't see the possible harm...

Pete i never knew he worked for a chinese plastics company,, but it all makes sense now.

although i really am raging right now having them packaged raises 3 ominous points.

1.The guy has enough of the repro feckers to warrant himself or someone else designing, producing packaging and marketing them??

2.It means folk are gonna think they are legit some how and they will be bought by joe public and innocently get into circulation. (think POTF2 first 12 pack thing with han,luke,vader,chewie.)

3.He thinks he is going to make money and cant be arsed listening to us or he already is. It has gone industrial.

But there is good news,, they may not circulate as loose (yet) as he mayonly be selling them packaged. :roll: small consolation.

But the best bit is he has upscaled and now maybe a big enough target for George neverfuckwithmycopyright Lucas ???

Anyone know someone in Luscasfilm?? :twisted:

Read the RS thread then looked at the ebay listing again for the 2 pack. Looks like typical 'made in china' bootleg toy packaging, in other words I think these may be turning up on mass at a Market near you!

The guy may have good intentions to start with, but these could be turned out by the lorry load in china and turn up in every market, toy shop and ebay will probably be flooded with them too.

I remember there were knockoff POTF2 figures being sold at markets here in 95. These are about a million times more professional looking though.

This is very scary, with a Stormtrooperfocus Im fearing that in the next couple of years the price on loose graded before these hit the marked is gonna go thru the roof.

Did anyone buy the "4packs" he sold ? If so Id be interested in getting one of these as a reference. And I do not want to buy a "new" one as Id rather not support this business.
