AFA taking submissions at Celebration Europe...

not going, would rather spend my money on something tangible . gonna cost me about £65 for a day's entrance fee's. £40 travel, £50 for overnight hotel plus food, £60 ... thats before i get in there .£15 per signature , plus the stall prices are going to be at a premium .

i know i'm tight but could take the family away for the weekend for less than a day spent queued up getting signatures and buying over priced vintage..... but i am sure you guys will have fun . :D

But it's like Celebration Europe man...

In fototball terms you're missing the World Cup Finals.

As a Scot, this is something I am used too.

:P

it aint the world cup, its like a party celebrating england winning it in 66( i know as a scot you enjoy us talking about it)
i went to an empire day and have been to some sci fi conventions and i just think its going to be a bit ott.
dont want to sound like a miserable **** , my sis even offered to buy me tickets for my birthday , but not sure its going to be worth the hastle...... tell me mr palitoy, 3 reasons why you are going ?

It's 20 mins away on the tube.

It'll be the biggest SW fair/show ever in the UK.

I like stroking David Tree's beard.*

*not factually correct

:?
reasons..... ie for signitures , meet people etc

you just described it , i mean give me 3 reasons what you will go for

The AFA newsletter today said you save on the cost of posting submissions. I guess their regular fees apply after that and they ship the stuff back to the US for grading at their own cost.

Jason

It is a pity they dont grade items on the spot as then it might be worth taking advantage off
