AFA 75 Trilogo Madine up for sale!!

I nearly had a heart attack when I misread the price about the photo and then realised that was the wrong one ?!?!?

Id love to finish the tri logo run and have this chap in it - but I cannot bring myself to stump up that cash for such a **** figure.

I need to find one that been stood on.

:o No such thing as a **** figure.

Imagine having that view when collecting World Cup Panini stickers. You'd have a blank England page every time. :D

£5k with a cracked bubble, too much.

Agree, although someone might bite.

Even if someone gave me a Trilogo Madine I'd sell it on I just don't like the figure

That AFA85 Trilogo Stormtrooper at 500 Euro's is a bit pricey (even if it does have the wrong blaster, I'd rather the correct blaster!)

Hairline crack... If i would pit that kinda cash down, i would go pick it up in person. Imagine that figure busting out of his bubble Whilst beeing shipped to you....

Wonder if Erik 'the douche' fancies a go at flipping it

To be honest, it is a lot of cash @ £5K but someone will buy it for that - presume that crack happened after the grading - another reason why AFA should do more to protect the bubble before they seal them away

I'm surprised so many people are bashing the price of this considering how crazy the prices of other 'common' things have gone recently. Tri Madine is definitely a bona fide "grail" item, and certainly back when I was collecting tri logos they were selling for thousands, and that was nearly 10 years ago now. If Kenner 12 backs are now selling for 1k+, I think 5k for this is a relative bargain. With some pieces as rare as this you can't be so condition sensitive, I'd be over the moon to own one of these even if it was water damaged. It's the 'grading curse' again - "Oh no it has a crack, it's worthless!"

Have to agree with Edd here, these items are altra rare and almost never come up for sale like this.
I just checked the AFA grading report just to give you an idea, currently it shows there are 6 graded madines (only 4 showing in the detailed screen, 1 AFA85, 2 AFA75 and 1 AFA60).
Now if you compare this to a VC jawa, wich basicly sells for the same price every or sometimes even more, there are 221 VC jawa's graded, 6 AFA95, 26 AFA90, 90 AFA85, and the list continue's.....

I can only agree that considering it's rarity this is a relative bargain.

The VC Jawa and a 21 Back Fett, are both good examples off items wich where thought to be rare in the 90's but now appears to be more common then people think but still demands high prices due to popularity i guess.

Exactly, many of us remember things like Yak Face and Blue Snag being "rare" in the 90s, but the reality is with the internet at our disposal they are not. but some items, such as the Tri Madine, have not become any more accessible. If there are only 6 graded that puts it right up there with DT Ben/Vader which have sold for over double this amount before, even loose ones sell for thousands.

221 graded VCJ's says it all really - the people paying hundreds for loose ones are fools.

the 221 graded VCJ's i am talking about here are MOC VC Jawa's, so imagine how many loose ones are out there....

An example i really love to show about MOC variation rarity is the MOC VC JAwa vs the MOC Large Head Han on 12 Backs, like i said 221 VCJ's are graded, and there are only like 74 (or something close to that) Large Head Han's on 12 backs, yet you can pick up a Large Head HAn at regular 12 back prices whilst the VC Jawa sells for thousands and thousands more....

rarity doesn't always equal £££

many thanks for the info StarGeezar. I have very little exposure to the Tri logo series, I knew Madine was rare but didnt realise he was this rare.
