Advice required re Echo Base FB Group.

I may have done something...rather rash.

i can't seem to access Echo Base on Facebook for the past 24 hours. I'm thinking I've been banned, although I received no notification and - being a generally polite chap - I've never been banned from anywhere. I was at a loss as to why but I may have thought of a reason. Yesterday I ( thought that I ) posted a joke to my timeline, but it never appeared. I'm now left to wonder if I accidentally posted said crap joke to Echo Base instead. It's not the first time I've mixed up feeds and posted about 30a cardbacks - or whatever - to my timeline, for example.

So, I'm left wondering if I've posted an utter irrelevance to the group which , although not offensive IMO, was about a very sensitive subject. Something I'd never dream of doing on a public forum, on-topic or not.

I'm wondering if any admin there are here too and would be willing to listen to my explanation and apology.

I'm not able to see the group at all. FB tells me it is having problems or I don't have permission to see the page. Echo isn't showing up on my FB searches at all. I only get the message about not having permission when I try and view it using my own firefox bookmark.

It wasn't really a joke. It was a flippant comment at the expense of the behaviour of a recent high profile killer's court appearance. Said person gave his name in court as something utterly demented. I repeated this and added 'and I thought Declan was a bloody stupid name'.

Intending this for my own pals is one thing. But - posting it to a completely unconnected public forum - out of context - is trollish and annoying at best, offensive at worst. So I'm assuming I've made a right royal arse of things.

It would appear that I left the group accidentally, hence my bookmarks not working.

The problem is that I've got one working hand due to MS and often press wrong buttons in the midst of one-handed phoning. In addition to that, I'm also an arse.

It's not over yet. I definitely can't see the group on my searches, just the modern one.

Another member I know kindly sent me the link so one asked to join properly now. Hopfully the request goes thru.

It's like Echo Base is doing a Brigadoon.

Yep I'm back in - thanks to all who helped.

I'm pretty sure I must have quit the group due to my neurological rubbish, but the group turning invisible on searches is the unexplained mystery. It's a shame Arthur C Clarke isn't about to look into it.
