Before I make a complete twat of myself.....
Any advice on this little chaps fakery (or otherwise) would be gratefully appreciated.

Thanks

Not entirely with you old chap? Are you trying to find out if the cape's real? Nick's the one to ask. The colour looks right but I'm no expert, need it in hand really. I'm sure someone can help :)

Sorry. Just need a second opinion on the cape, gun etc.
I've requested more close-up photos.
Just wondered what peoples initial thoughts were

My initial thought is that he needs a bath.

My initial impression is genuine. It's certainly the correct figure with big eyes, and once cleaned looks to be in excellent condition. Cape looks genuine but close up pics would help make 100% sure.

Thanks for that, mate.
It does appear to have passed through the digestive system of a dog, though
Hopefully, gives it more credence to being genuine.

Yeah I'd say real also. But I wouldn't touch it with bare hands until he's had a good clean. If it were me I'd simply swap the figure for a nicer (correct) example and work on getting the cape clean, there's a thread here somewhere on cleaning vinyl capes.

The cape looks fine - in terms of the figure, you would need to check the COO but you can always swap that over.

The blaster in the picture is the bump version - common thought is that he was mainly packed wit the none bump version but AFA will grade with either so you're good there

I agree with the rest of the boys on this, looking good but you won't tell for sure till it's in hand.

Hope it's a bargain mate!

I also agree with everyone else, just check that the cape has the slight cross hatched texture to one side of it and small tight armholes and you should be good (the seller could just move the Jawa's arm up to see the armhole fit so as to cause no damage by taking it off).

I've put my jaw a cape in near boiling water to flatten it out and it works fine so you could use hot soapy water to clean it. If you do submerge the cape in hot water it will become very flat and then you'll have to shape it around the Jawa once you put it back on. The shape it's in at the moment looks good though so maybe just dapping on hot soapy water would be a better way to go with cleaning it up.

Hope you can get it at a fair price and that it's all good.

Ian

Thanks everybody for the feedback.
Here are the new photos. Looks like he's had a bath.
Pretty sure that's a cross-hatch pattern in the first image.

Wait for others to chime in but to me that looks pretty good. You can see the pattern in the first picture. Looks tight around the arms and the colour and shape look right.

BINGO!

Cross hatch is right, arm holes look good as you can see where the plastic is pushed out because of the tight fit.

Congrats! :)

Thanks for the confirmation, guys.

Gonna make him an offer. What do you think is a fair price?
Obviously want a bargain, but don't want to take the piss.
