Ok it's not Star Wars but i don't think i've ever actually seen a vintage toy in a charity shop before. Bar maybe Lego. So it made a nice change to see this today...
Anyone know what line it's from??

They were called Visionaries

Visionaries
toy line spawning from yet another cartoon, but it could have been a show based on the figures. Does it really matter? These guys featured the mysterious and 'NEW' marketing strategy of the 80′s: Holograms! Oh, boy were holograms the biggest thing since the wheel for the 80′s. That **** was on everything once all of the companies had their collective hands in the communal pool. So… they had holograms. And, possibly, holographs.

Michael's got it. Visionaries (1987). I had them back in the day and watched the cartoon. And i have 3 carded examples today. Cool to see one in a charity shop. Even tho it had seen better days.

Post pics of the carded ones ...love to see them....as long as its not against the rules...don't want Todd banning me

When my step dad retired he started working in a charity shop (quite a well known branch). They do get Star Wars things in quite often but it's usually books and comics. He keeps a look out for me. The other week i got a vintage ESB film book and ROTJ summer special comic. Apparently there's a sorting room and they get work placement guys from the DSS. A lot of choice stuff goes missing in there by the sound of it...

i never see vintage stuff in charity shops of any 1980's toyline infact, i always have a quick look if i pass a charity shop, there really expensive charity shops these days ive noticed, i suppose that signs of the times with shop rents going up and what not. i have a loose visoinary somewhere he has a grey beard lol

I've never seen any vintage Star Wars in a charity shop ever, although I did pick up a vintage Crossbows and Catapults once.

I think most people think "oh Star Wars, that's gotta be worth something", so they stick it on eBay or in the old days in Loot or car boot sale.

That's part of the pull for me the hope of spotting a diamond in a box on a car boot...

Not from a charity shop but picked up on a stall at a SW day today for £1

Not a world shaker but I smiled at a quid :D
