 no what you mean but the earth is not going to last forever might be a million years or a trillion but one thing for sure is it will come to an end and in that time the earth will come under various threats from space that could damage the earth so we do need to do all these expensive ventures to try and make life survive in the future.Caswellbot said:Watch out here comes moaning mirtle...
When I think about the 100's of billions if not trillions of tax payers dollars/ pounds that have been invested in our ambitions for space exploration and I think about how much better spent that money would be in "levelling the playing field" for all those people who are really struggling in the world I can't help but feel a little despondant. Is searching space really the answer? :|
Ironic viewpoint I know seeing as the "space programme" paved the way for the film's that we all know and love.![]()

We are supposed to be intelligent beings and we are as far as I know the only species destroying our own environment? There is a paristic feature to our ambitions if you think about it.

I think Agent Smith sums it up perfectly.

Makes you wonder what they could do now with manufacturing coming on leaps & bounds in those 10 years, really incredible stuff, be nice to see what the samples throw up.

If we are eternal then we should have nothing to fear in death as long as we have lived our lives in a way that will enable us to reconnect with the ultimate source. But that is a different topic altogether.
