Hi,

A few of you will already know I run around a bit and that I've done some fairly out of the ordinary running things like 10 marathons in a year. Well as this year draws to a close I'm hoping to top that by ticking off 8 marathons before the year is out.. which is around sixteen weeks, so an average of one a fortnight for the rest of the year. They won't be quick and oddly some will be the two marathons in one weekend type of events to 'spread them out' a bit.

I'm doing it to raise money for one of the smaller charities - LUPUS UK

https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Steveruns4LUPUS

If anyone can spare a few pennies to get me going, please get involved.

Cheers
Steve

That's amazing well done Steve I have never ran a marathon hopefully some day. You must have extreme fitness levels now!
Did you ever consider the marathon des Sables I think you could handle that by the sounds of it. I would love to try it some time. I love reading about people pushing themselves and getting outside their comfort zone.
And yes I'll sponsor you a few bob :)

Cheers! very kind.

MDS I have toyed with, but I'm not great in the heat actually.. so these autumn/winter runs will be OK on that front at least. I also don't really like the idea of carrying all the kit for a week while running either... may be one day though as I do seem to fall into some silly ideas every so often!

Donation sent Steve,
Maybe with permission this could be moved to the vintage section for more exposure?

Thanks to Bootyhunter and Yoda for the donations that I have woken up to this morning! - hugely appreciated chaps
THANK YOU! :D :D :D

I hope you reach your goal it's for a good cause Steve. After reading what your doing it gave me a little nudge to check whats going on. I went on the web and spotted a challenge on over my side of the water i think you would find a challenge.
It's called to "hell and back" it's around 5km in the dark over verious obstacles around holloween. I have been comtemplating putting my name down for it if I was around home for that date. It probably sounds worse than it is I'd say it would be an interesting night though.
