This IS about vintage so quit bitching ;)

Use code CUK20 during checkout on eBay.co.uk until 2200 hours tonight and you save 20% off the purchase price. Some things to note:

- Only for UK PayPal account holders
- Minimum spend £20
- Maximum saving £50
- *EDIT* One use only

I don't know if it will work for purchases from outside of the UK. I don't know (but believe you can) add lots of items to your basket and then use the code across all of them (subject to terms above).

Just saved myself £50 :D

I just used it - got the discount and then checked PayPal and the took the full amount - buggers

I used it twice (didn't realise it was a one off) so that maybe why - but just watch that the amount that come out of your PayPal is the discounted amount

Don't you start  Just had an earful from my misses because she thought she could use it lots of times, too. Apparently that's my fault.

One use only, by the way!

Wonder if I can use it to buy some boxes?

Sadly it seems the cupboard is bare.......

On the iPad app, the payment shows as the full amount, but then you drill into it and it shows the amount taken from your PP balance and then the voucher separate. So I think it's ok, but you're right, second use and you're fooked :D

Perfect little scam eBay have there. They know only a tiny number of people read T&C, and even then they are so ambiguous it could mean anything. Cue loads of extra people buying stuff, and so few people doing it right, that eBay get their money back 10 fold. Yeah sorry, I have been accused of paranoid before :D

I tried it and kept kept error an code and then when it eventually did work Paypal was unavailable due to a different technical issue.....yet was available before the code worked  I could have used an alternative payment method i.e. credit card but then the code wouldn't have worked

Damn missed it 45mins too late just seen this thread.Would have used it as well.

Anyway props to the op for this.

It was doing that to me then as I attempted to re-enter the code it just took the full payment from the wrong card too..bastards

I had an email from ebay at the end of february that if i sold something on ebay before the 7th of March and the buyer paid via paypal i would get a £30 voucher added to my paypal account before the 28th of March. I signed on to this offer and i'm still waiting for this voucher :? . Did anyone else here sign on to this offer and received a voucher?

Thanks for the heads up :)

Bought something, applied the voucher successfully at checkout, hit the button... and had the full amount go from my PayPal. I've a UK account and only used it the once. Did I miss something in the T&Cs about being refunded the 20% at a later date, or have ebay cocked up?

It probably looks like the full amount has been taken but if you check your paypal receipt you should see the discount applied. If not, speak to eBay and explain it. Can't see why it would apply the discount then not.

Cheers Scruffy - I thought that as soon as I posted. I'd originally checked it on the mobile app which didn't show the discount, but looking on the website it does. Phew!

Very confusing how even in Paypal is shows the full amount unless you drill down in to the details. Thanks though, picked up a couple of things :)
