1st Class recorded problems?

Has anyone had a 1st class recorded packet go missing before?

I posted on the 9th - still no show, I know it's Xmas so I hope its just held up but was wondering if you chaps had similar experiences?

I always have this fear, hence any overseas stuff I have bought I have asked them to post in the New Year. I have been waiting for a package from Mexican for 3 weeks, fingers crossed. No real issues with local post so far (touch wood). Hope it turns up soon!! Simon

Not had one go missing in years, but as said its the time of year for **** ups for the RM & the time where if there is someone wanting to lift items, they will do when they think the good stuff is going through with all the gifts going through the post.

I am not having anything delivered till after new year either as I won't take the risk & have asked those I have bought from to hold off till after the holidays.

That's probably a wise move mate... hopefully just held up in the Xmas rush, I always post 1st class recorded if over a tenner - always gets there next day...

Not had a first class issue - but had one from abroad. Had an ESB Luke FB sent to me - which I was quite excited about. It got to the UK fine, then his the clusterfuck that is Citipost. Citipost claim to have passed it on to Hermes and have told me that Hermes did not scan it in at depot - followed by "Sorry, claim your money back from your supplier". Cheers guys - you suck cock, and another decent moc drops off the planet.

Bit miffed.

I refuse to buy from people who post with Hermes.........long story but it took nearly 2 weeks for a parcel from Kent to get to Gloucestershire. Hermes maybe cheaper than RM but they are shite.

This time of year us postie's are stupidly busy. Sometimes packets do seem to get held up at mail centres for some reason. I reckon over the past 2 weeks I have delivered near on 1000 parcels, that's just me!!!!

I would def claim back your postage on the special plantman, I have in the past you shouldn't have a problem.
