1st issue palitoy x wing queery

on browsing ebay earlier I noticed a 1st issue x wing with a coloured back piece. As far as I'm aware I haven't seen any before only black and white. So I checked previous listings and they all are the same.
Is this a variant?

Could be felt tips, although looks too neat.

Prob some sort of colour print taken from an original, at any rate the decal is not a vintage original colour design.
