12 back Pailtoy Ben

Haven't posted here in a while, but still read the boards.
Like Ron, I would, at some point like to get as many of the different 12 bk Palitoys as I can (who wouldn't!). Anyway, was watching this 12 back Ben - although only for curiosity as I'm not in a position to fork out at present. Was shocked how much it was bid up to - as an ungraded specimen. theguiltyone is a member here I think. Anyhow, I'm not overly knowledgeable about these, but is Ben one of the rarer cards for this series? How much might a typical AFA 85 graded Palitoy Ben - or Luke/Leia fetch?!

No idea about prices for Palitoy but that isn't cheap!

Ben is one of the hardest to get, perhaps second or third hardest after Chewy and possibly Luke. This example is also a very nice one. Well done Marc 8)

Yep, I saw the 30bk one - assume thats the one you meant, but might have missed some of the 12 back comments. Sorry if I'm going over well trodden goround here.

I knew that Chewie is supposed to be the rarest, but would have assumed Leia/Luke would generally be the most expensive. I'm a long way from any sort of complete collection in this respect - a year or two back I picked up an AFA85 Sandpeople. Also got an ungraded stormtrooper - both I thought expensive at the time, but were both in the £350-400 region. MIght be an age before I get any more!

Im so glad its not graded, saves me having to break open the AFA case.
Price wise, sure cheaper would be sweet but based on general consensus, its a fair price.

Thats cool, its always good to discuss lurvely Palitoys. The 12 Back thread might be a page or so back now, its worth a look.

I wouldn't worry about AFA grades too much as most haven't yet been graded. With the rarer ones like Ben its a case of get em when you can.

Absolutelly - congrats matey, it looks a cracking piece and I'm rather envious! Hope you are pleased when you receive it - I'm sorry to have highlighted your purchase in this thread if you'd have rather kept it more low key. I guess those cards really don't come up very often.
