My collection improves in quality and is a lot more complete from here on in. I flung myself into collecting figures from The Empire Strikes Back and never got round to working backwards to improve my Star Wars selection.

All of this selection are a combination of 30A and 30B and are case fresh. Annoyingly the Rebel Soldier has some damage on the front of the card, which I'll probably get restored at some point (or simply replace it).

I'll post some pictures of my MOC collection 1981 and beyond at some point.

Anyway, here goes...

Craig.

All of my MOCs were collected well before the internet came about. As far as collecting these days, I don't have any more advice than anyone else.

I have always measured up the cost of an item against it's future potential value/rarity, which with MOCs seems like a no-brainer.

Good luck with your hunting!

Craig.

Wow

I can only imagine that there a fair few collectors out there who are feeling pretty jealous right now. Such a great selection of 30 backs with amazingly clear and dent free bubbles. I think that's one of the best Boba Fett's I've ever seen. I can see there's one way you could move out of the UK's crime capital, as you put it.

Thanks, I really appreciate that.

There's no way I'd consider selling my MOCs - although there could be a point in the future where the value will be so crazy, that it could become an option.

We'll have to see what the future holds...

Lovely collection of mocs! Well done. I wouldn't try and repair the rebel soldier. It looks decent enough and a repair would prob reduce its value quite considerably.

Thanks- I'll need it! I started collecting from toy fairs etc, then gave up and just stashed them away. Wish I'd carried on!

Thanks, that's good advice for collectors right now and I'll bow to your judgement.

It depends on who the future customers are and what they're looking for. If a virtually invisible repair could be done, newbies with serious cash in their pockets might not mind. Displayed in an acrylic case, it would probably not show.

I could imagine an unscrupulous dealer buying my Rebel Soldier (if I ever decide to sell), repairing it and selling it for more.

Great collection.

I do love the first 10 ESB characters on 30 back. That's the earliest card I can vividly remember from childhood. 8)

Take the sound advice Craig, forget about restoration :!:
