Wow both the other forums even quieter than here Emiel? sort of shocking how it's totally changed, I do fear social media will be the death of the forums & it's nothing to be happy about, FB & such will all fizzle out eventually & you can't post anything on them that's not gone in a week, we do really need forums for being able to find good information as well as being a community hub
I do miss the old old old forum, from 15yrs ago, but we have all grown up since then. Kids, wives, life in general meaning sitting on a forum chatting to random strangers is less of a viable option than it was back then. A lot of names have come and gone on this place over the years, such is the way. Some still lurk, some moved on to other places (FB or TIG) some probably just drifted away from collecting. I suspect a few are probably in prison for crimes involving animals (joke).

Whatever happened to TIG? I remember when it started and a good few from here moved over. It always seemed a bit obsessed with variants for my liking. Did they all realised that a "slightly raised but not as raised as a 'raised bar,' no COO" Klaatu is just the same as any other ******* Klaatu, or was there a falling out?

I used to be a regular on Rebelscum and CollectStarWars forums back in the 90s.imperial gunnery, now that's a name (and you know the rest, you even did the voice)
IG was great, but that died out a long time ago.
RS I never really bothered with
CSW changed names and went all modern, and i never went back. RS did the same too.. although i have logged into their forums once or twice over the last 5 or 6 years, and its a wasteland.
All the more important to keep this place alive and active.

I used to pop on to RS occasionally, probably 10-15 years ago, it was full of useful info and the FS thread was decent. BUT it was soooooo anal. Your importance was based on the collection you had and any newbie was just something you'd stood in

Tantive was a good vibe but fairly quiet, some good guys on there, I agree on the rs comments, some of the admin back in the day were very brunt to say the least.
& as for the post count, we both know they are irrelevant here mate, just poking a bit of fun at other places with that comment as you well know

I think the main problem is that there are so many facebook pages out there nowadays it takes so much time and effort trying to keep up with everything.
Life was far simpler when most people were mainly here and also on Rebel Scum, two perfect forums with all the banter and items for sale / trade you could wish for.
Sadly nowadays it's like everyone wants to set up their own facebook page for every single variation you can think of and it's sucked the life force out of the great communities these places once were. Glad to see there are still a few die hards sticking it out though. I look in every day.
