The seller's story is the most shaky part of the equation for me. One of those horribly over elaborate 'yarns' where the teller peppers in a few specific details to try and sell it, but instantly triggers your bullshit detector. This backstory actually raises way more questions and makes me doubt the whole thing.

And the final line "it has never been altered"... I've seen literally thousands of MOCs sold and I've never seen anyone feel the need to add that disclaimer in a sales description before. Methinks the lady doth protest too much.

Such a strange thing for an auction house to include in an item description.. I mean, that rambling back story could all be total bollocks, how on earth do they know?

Agreed the story is BS - he was told a plastic cape jawa was coming out?

Surely that would be cloth cape?

The unaltered comment is very weird, but could just be hiding the fact it's been repaired.

Looks like this could now be a good way to get a cheap vinyl cape jawa. I know first hand how this kind of press/debate kills the value of a piece
