It's (sadly) not often I see things I haven't seen before, but today is one of those days! Very cool Iain, seen a few of these over the years but never seen that combo - awesome! Looks in great condition too!

What does the man who has virtually everything buy?

You have been dropping some amazing pieces recently Iain. Get that collection displayed and get a new limelight up!

Superb stuff

Thread is on fire.

You not wrong, Grant. And that was before Iain's brilliant miscard! Tri-logos? Sure, but Kenner? Very cool :)

Just unbelievable stuff; Stu, that Sigma Yoda is actually (shocked) very good. Love it. Loving those candy heads and goddam I need some transfers. I don't remember the Dairy Lea ones but I'm sure I had some free with Weetabix and/or Shreddies? Cool scene on back of box? I'm remembering the Ewoks/Endor one but I'm sure there was another.

That is one pretty Palitoy DSC and it went for a great price, well done. I am, however, drooling over the Tril-logo ERG

Awesome 12" Han. He looks untouched inside that box.

I had a ridiculous day yesterday. This looks like a lot of pick ups in one go and like I've gone slightly mad, but some of these had a long lead time; Vectis (4 weeks ago), diescast from Lars (couple of weeks ago and delayed posting at my request), the Stormtrooper has been weeks coming from the States, etc. It's still a daft amount of SW in 5 weeks but sometimes it's like buses and right when I thought "that's it" something else popped up. I won't show the diecasts from Lars (thanks buddy!) as they appeared in the FS thread, but in one day I received 4 parcels (!) from four different buying channels; eBay, Vectis, SWFUK and FB. Goes to show; collecting ain't what is used to be.

So forgive the self indulgent splurge, but these are all really, really cool items that I'm over the moon with. I even got lucky on the loose figures from Vectis; I thought I'd paid over the odds (had an itchy mouse finger and was making up for wimping out on the Palitoy Vader) but the figures are an absolutely, stone bokeringingly mint condition childhood collection and 95% of them were complete. I'm over the moon with them. I'm collecting loose figures in C7 or better condition (trying to do it on a budget then leaving the pleasure of upgrading to another time) but these are ridiculously good.

So, first off. 1) My Palitoy Stormtrooper from FB. Second Pali 12 back from the US I've "repatriated". He was a steal, honestly. Only area of damage is the obvious staple mark damage to the "A" of Star. I am more than happy to live with that for now :) 2) The R2 from Dave Tree (cheers matey) which must be super rare cos it's got a slightly yellow bubble which is unusual for Palitoy ;) and 3) my 3PO from Vectis. There were two on the day and I would have preferred ungraded but the condition vs. the ungraded one was a no brainer.

Next up, my Tri-logo trilogy, also from Vectis. Ben and Luke were impulse purchases and out of all the pictures I requested I didn't request ones of them. As such, I was holding my breath as the description read "crushed bubbles". Very pleased with them, though. The EV I did get photos of and is brilliant. Thrilled with him.

Finally, the loose figure lot. These are the complete figures (barring Yoda's snake and CCP communicator :():

......And then the remainder of the loose lot. Love the name plates :):

And as a bonus, this little guy! He was, sadly, the only figure who wasn't perfect. Heck, he's a million miles from it, but he is a loose dark blue R2 to go with my battered MOC, so again, very pleased to have him as an example:

Cheers guys. I think the Palitoys, although they're at the easier end of the scale to get, show you can still get 12 backs at a reasonable price if you keep looking. I'm 5/12 down and, apart from the Jawa, the expensive 6 to get, but I reckon I can still get the whole run put together in the above sort of condition (75/80?) for less than £12k. Yep, a ridiculous amount of money to spend on toys, but this is a run of 12 back Palitoys in the current mental market we're talking about. And anyway, it makes it a fun mission if there's a challenge ;) So far I am well, well under target. But with Chewie, Luke and Leia to get with the only slightly less mental Han, Ben and Vader before them, it's going to be tough. On a mission for a Jawa now, but that little blighter is proving tough with only the torn litho one on ebay seen for a while, by me at least....

Fabulous stuff everyone - lovely to see.

And Simon, that is one hell of a haul; must have been tricky smuggling that lot into the house - fine work!

I think my favourite is the mis-carded figure - I'd love to get one myself for my focus, but saying that, I think everyone has done an outstanding job of finding some very beautiful items - So well done all...
