Cool pictures!
I don't think Zodiac toys ever made it over here, too scared, but I definitely have a few MOC's with Zodiac price stickers on them.

NO WAY!!!! Had one in Kingston Upon Thames, remember it well now that you mention it :)

Memory Lane!

I don't remember those stores at all. Anyone remember Gamleys or Beatties?

I remember Beatties, there was one in High Wycombe. My favourite was a local store called Child's. I bought all my Britain's soldiers from there :D

Wonderful looking at those pictures of all the old M.A.S.K and He-Man stuff on shelves. Really takes me back. Shame there's no Star Wars "on shelf" pics (anyone know of any??)
I don't remember that store either but i DO remember Gamleys and Beatties. There was a Beatties in West Ealing where toys were "looked at" by the younger me for many many hours while my parents did the "big shop" in Sainsbury's.

Ahh.... good times...

I am in contact with the guy who was head of Zodiac in the 80's and getting loads of info about sales of star wars ect for instance the millenium Falcon retailed at £19.99 and in 1985 they alone sold 4477 not bad to say that star wars coming to the end of it's shelf life then.

That's interesting stuff Steve, there's generally not enough vintage tales/info from the UK

Loved Zodiac toys and definately remember Beaties, got a few remote controlled cars from there :p Ah those were the days. Sad isn't it how things have changed :(

If you can get the Queen to open your toy shop it must be awesome!

Yeah Beatties was a big shop too, and from what I remember expensive haha and they sold tons of model kits and trains.
We also had a Toymaster when I was about 14+ not that I used to go and buy toys of course at 14 ;0)

Spent a lot of time in Beatties!!!

Zodiac toys I remember well. Still have the cardbacks of a couple of figures I bought in ZT in Ilford 8)
