Hey guys I have been watching a Tusken on eBay and it states the cloak is original and has been zip tested, what is zip testing? And is it something you can do on all figures such as, vader, leia, Tusken, hoth stormies?

you run your finger nail along the inner side of the cape the textured side, and the texture of the vintage vinyl cape make's a zipping sound! fake vinyl capes do not to this but i believe fake capes are getting better, this test is essential when particularly looking into purchasing a vinyl caped jawa!

Don't quote me on this but I don't think the "zip test" is conclusive for all figures. There are some variations of vinyl capes that are legit but don't make the zip noise, I beleive there is a leia princess cape that has a smoother surface than others for example and Vader has quite a few cape variations.

As Poncho said the repro dudes are forever perfecting ways to make their stuff harder to pick so nothing is ever for certain until you have it in hand to make an educated comparison.
