Yps... or not?!

Took a punt on this chap as it was a decent price.

I have no idea if it is legit so thought I'd ask you lot!

The coo is scarred out on the figure...The cape feels odd.. very thin, shiny one side and matte on the other ... the holes are round...
Lemme know if other pics would be handy...

Not unduly worried either way, but obvs I don't end up passing it on as legit to someone else in future if that is not the case.

Figure fine. Yps magazine came with euro snow troopers. Both single and double scar. Euro figure commonly comes with single hole skirt.

magazine came with both normal stormtrooper gun and the black af assault rifle.

so all in all yours ticks the boxes

overhyped figure imo. Netherless looks cool with the black af gun and a novelty variant. I want one 8)

Cheers mate. I was just a bit iffy about his skirt because it feels very thin / different texture but from what I've read it sounds about right.

I'm now onto variants having completed my first minty-ish loose collection. Started collecting at Christmas so I think I've done quite well! IMO Luke stormtrooper's blaster, pop up R2 were definitely the hardest to get so far...
Few additions since this taken...

I got the Yps trooper for £85, which might well sound like too much ... But I didn't think was too bad as I've seen the action force guns goimg nearly as much on their own recently.

Realistically I've just got blue snagg, boba fett trilogo-ish, a short snout biker scout and hollow tube tusken on my WTB list... Can't really justify the cost of VCJ and dark brown rebel troopers etc although they look cool! My heart isn't in moc collecting, so I think that will be me done once I've got them... :shock: perhaps... besides a few minty upgrades... :lol:

Its a lovely bunch you've got there!
Go careful with the variants though... the list you have is a nice and simple one and it may be best to just stick to it than start looking at COOs, pale faces different coloured necks and on and on and on...
Good luck in your quest, if they turn out as nice as the ones above, you'll have a stonking loose set!

I too once thought as you did, just get the basic run and a few obvious variants...4 years later...

Ha ha ... I know what you mean re: variants... I started off not planning on bothering with the last 17...
