Yet another eBay packaging **** up

Seems like I always get the numpties. Bought a carded figure and it was just sent in a box with no protection inside and the figure has broke out of the top, grrr!

Worst thing about it is is that the seller was slow to send the item and didn't respond to any messages so I therefore opened a case. Buyer then has a hissy fit because Paypal have withheld his fees and states he'll only send the item when Paypal releases the money! Finally get him to agree to send the figure and I'll close the case when he sends me a tracking number.

I haven't done that yet but I don't think I'll be able to get a partial refund because of the not received case already opened and tracking details to prove that I've got it.

What a bugger.

I've just had two eBay MOCs delivered after a prolonged delay, same here on the packaging score, just a thin single skin cardboard box with a single layer of bubble wrap, nothing at all covering the bubble though... any crush and they would have both disintegrated, I clearly got off lucky!

had this too many times poor packaging,when ever i win an auction now i mail the seller and ask them to package it well in a box to avoid damage.
The seller always mails me back to say yes no problem i always send well packaged :roll: mmm really ,i do give them the benefit of the doubt as some of them do but for the ones that was just gonna stick it in a jiffy bag it makes them think twice

Some people are SO cheap with their packaging materials (and I say that as I source all my packaging materials free or cheaply and I've never had a complaint!)

This seller has some bad feedback for poor packaging in the past - I overlooked that for the rarity of the piece (photos in the LA thread) but it's a super brittle bubble and this guy has no idea.

I'm screwed for a partial refund as the eBay case was open about non-receipt; he has the tracking details so it'll be closed.

Well at least I'll be able to leave negative feedback.
