And the figure has paint rubs all over it. So many idiots out there lapping this rubbish up.

Stealthily include a sticker that says '538.98' That should draw some more suckers in.

It is the typical bullshit listing that you get on eBay at the moment. My good friend AussieF was criticizing newbies over on RS saying he had no sympathy for them - but the trouble is listings like this are confusing for new starters.

The seller has covered his back by stating that it is a repro card and that the figure has paint loss (although I agree with Todd that the staff looks repro) - however there are so many misleading uses of 'genuine' and 'vintage' that people are bound to be confused - especially people looking for presents

This is the thread on RS about the Boba Fett - I agree that people do need to do some research before they splash the cash - but sellers like these muddy the waters

Have you read the sellers "ME" page on ebay?

You can Bid on any of our Auctions with 110% Confidence as all of our items are Genuine 100%Authentic Original!! Unchanged, Exactly what you would have bought in Major Retail Stores or from Reputable Dealers back in the 60s-80s.

We are highly against collecting or selling Fakes, Remakes, Reissues, Bootlegs, Pirates, Copies, Reproductions, Repaired Repackaged/Recarded, Re-shrinkwraped, Touched-up, Pieced together or anyone who sells fakes & used items as original new etc.*

Don't be Fooled or settle for Fakes. Recarded, Reboxed, Reproductions, Reissues, Refurbished, Fake Knock-off versions or all the broken repaired items being sold off as new original on Ebay/Internet

Very much agree.

I'm not sure what would be worse - buying that as a Christmas gift for someone, or being the recipient of the gift

Mad innit. I can only come up with 3 explanations -

1. Stupidity and more money than sense

2. Someone has it on their Christmas list and a clueless partner/relative with more money than sense is buying it

3. Shill bidding

Maybe the buyer is new in the star wars universe, and can't see it is custom :?

I remember when I was new I had a lot of repro weapons for years before I found out they were repro

But yes the seller is smart and people should read everything also the small letters at the bottom of the page.
