i went the ps4 route this time for a few reasons, the size and power brick on the xbox do my head in, the fact you cant upgrade the HDD on the xbox, using ddr3 ram may prove an issue down the line, the ps4 controller comes with rechargable batteries built in, netflix ect is usable without subscription (i heard you need box live to use in on xbox?) its £80 cheaper.

the ps4 looks so much better and is a pure gaming machine, i also like the touch senor on the joypad and the share button

just to defend the xbox a little, you can change the hard drive on xbox one but it means opening up the machine and doing it yourself rather than the 'plug n play' ps4 way. Also, GDDR5 provides faster data transfer, but DDR3 provides faster latency so it's swings and roundabouts. The Xbox ones GPU can read directly from memory so there isn't a need for the high band width of GDDR5. The price is also a no comparable when the PS4 would be the same price as the Xbone IF Sony included the camera. Go out and buy the camera for the PS4 and let me know the total for both the unit and the camera :wink:

In short my Xbone can so everything your PS4 can do aswell as voice control for the lazy bastard, snapping (shareing a game and Skype on the same screen at the same time for example) and theres a reason why you have to pay for xbox live and not pay for sony online and it's called LAAAAAAAAGGGGG!!!

If you want a pure gaming machine get a PS4.
If you want a gaming machine with an all in one media suite built in get an Xbone.
The extra bumf on PS4 will only be advantageous on exclusives as most games will be designed to use less than 5GBs of memory.

I couldnt really care less which system i have as i'll get both eventually ut's just that most of my mates play xbox live. There must be a reason for that!

Yeah but with xbox forcing the kinect on you its easier to make a call on what you want, i dont want the ps eye and i dont have to buy it

As for the ram its going to make a big difference in future games, xbox will be behind in terms of hardware, i dont fancy voiding my warranty upgrading the hard drive when all the games come out and you need to upgrade.

dont you have to install games to the hard drive on the xbox? im sure i read it uses more space than a ps3.

The rechargeable ps3 controller is a money saver too, with xbox you have to buy a play and charge kit or betteries, the ps3 is built in and you can use a phone usb cable to charge it

As for the media features, its all a load of tosh to me, i dont want to view crap on the xbox and turn it on with my voice, i have all the media features i need built into my tv.

although i did browse bbc sport through the ps3, ill stick to using my phone.

ive always been an xbox fan but this time ive gone playstation, so many reasons that the ps3 is better.

plus it looks far nicer, the xbox is massive like a vcr and has a power brick, the ps3 just has a cable.

I will be going for the PS4 myself...

Specs, power and RAM are not going to swing it for me. Just dumb old, inexplicable, blind brand loyalty for me :lol: :lol: :lol:

One more thing though, I don't know if I want a device with a camera attached to it in my living room watching me, connected to the web 24-7 that's controlled by Microsoft. Sorry just letting the conspiracy paranoia get to me. :lol:
