X BOX Pal 50/60 Problem-can you guys help?

Guys,

Ny sister in law bought her daughters and xbox today,and i set it all up for them.However,when i went to play a game it said it didnt support the Pal 50 and only runs on PAL 60.Now even though they have a lovely 50" Plasma that they bought in 2005 for £3000 :shock: it isnt working out at all!It has no HD,and im not too sure if it takes Pal 60 either. Ive tried switching cables etc,but to no avail.I hear there is a remedy for this though.

The model number of the TV is:

Philips 50PF9966

When i tried changing the Pal settings on the console,the screen went black and flickering and then it still said that it doesnt do Pal 60???

What can i do here guys?

im pretty sure thats the hertz setting that the xbox is trying to run on,. you can go into the xbox settings (rather than the tv) and change it, off the top of my head the xbox should??? automaticaly play on a low setting, then you can adjust to another one. try taking all the cables out and pushing them in again, if you dont have a hdd cable and are using a scart then the connector at the back of the xbox can be a bit fiddly, just make sure its all the way in.

Which Xbox360 is it? Think the white ones had a switch on one of the cables that went into the TV for this.
