WTB - Original X-wing decals (now found! - thank you!)

Looking to buy a sheet of original X-wing decals.

I've seen people selling mixed lots of stuff with original decals thrown in for various ships, so I know there are original decals about somewhere. Just wondering if anyone's got a clean set for the X-Wing?

PS. I'm looking for the standard red decals not the battle damage ones that go on top.

I'm doing up a grey X-wing just now. Should I keep it vintage and hold out for another original decal sheet or go down repro road? Are any of the repro stickers any good? :?

If u can b patient I'd recommend holding out for the real original decals, but the repros r ok for display!
An Empire boxed example just sold which had unused battle damaged decals! Unfortunately the standard decals were applied.

If unused decals are selling for £30 you may as well just replace the whole thing, I'm sure you could buy a decent loose X-Wing with good decals for that.

I bought a jumble sale white xwing to try out a set of repros, see how they look. From there I'll decide if Paligrey is going repro or if I'm holding out for originals. They seem to be thin on the ground though

I've actually only just acquired a set of original red/yellow decals this week from the States (and I got hit for import tax as well!). I'll do up the Paligrey with them, keeping it all vintage.

I realise it might be cheaper just buying another X-wing but I would still end up wanting to fix the scrapper one. I like the idea of fixing something up and getting it back to new condition. Its really my OCD than for value or anything! :lol:
