Wow!

Really!?

I would have rather had the PBP Hoth Soldier the seller recently sold (amongst a few other nice items!).

****ing rediculous. I wish some people had more brain cells than money as its destroying the hobby.

3rd highest bidder has 24 bid retractions, 4th highest has 27 bid retractions (both over last 6 months). Is that a little suspicious?

I've bought a fair bit over the years and I've never retracted a bid. Just sayin' :)

I dunno but one has to presume that the likes of bankers, pro footballers, council big wigs, investors etc have entered our hobby for prices like this being realised.

Yeah the bidding may be a bit suspicious although a lot of the bidders have very high feedback scores. Be interesting to see what happens next, whether it is listed again.

I did wonder if this is down to investors bidding rather than collectors but an orange haired Luke is not exactly an obvious choice (like say a VC jawa or rocket firing Fett) for someone not in the hobby.

I have an AFA 85 one of these, I'd say better than that one. It's at times like this when I do seriously consoder selling up, must be strong! :x

First time i've heard of this variation I think , what's the story behind the orange ones ? How many in existence ?
Not sure how many there are but rumour has it that until Rupert Grint became a hit with the ladies they had a hard time at school

I don't know what the whole story is with them to be honest.

I think there are two orange haired Luke FBs - one a US one, the other an Aussie one. The US one is considered to be the more 'correct' orange haired Luke and worth more.

They don't come up for sale very often. I got mine from Rebelscum a few years ago and since then I've had a search on eBay for 'orange haired Luke' (mainly because I was after an orange haired Luke Bespin). I've probably seen 2-3 come up. One of those was AFA 85 graded and listed buy it now for about £1500 but the auction was ended early so no idea how much it actually went for.

Orange you glad you bought one a few years ago? Yes, I am! :D

These can sometimes originate from Kenner 41-E MOC's. I owned one back in like 2009. Not sure what others if any. 8)
