any of you lot get any good bargains from woolies?

i bought 6 copies of fifa 09 on ps3 for £8 each. sold today for £108. 2 copies 0f dead space for £10 , sold one for £ 16 and i might keep the other one . 1 years gold membership to xbox live for £12. several blue ray discs for £6 and some box sets

Bloody good deals there mate.

The one near me had complete tat in it in the last few days before it closed

shame really as woolworths were the only shop near me that i enjoyed going in to browse at the new waves of star wars figures

Blimey that is cheap.
Me and the Mrs went to our woolies the other day but it was practically empty

It's a shame woolworths has shut down. Where are kids suppose to go and look at toys now. We dont have a toy's r us up here

when i went into woolworths at 4 oclock on sunday they had about 6 trays full of bits and bobs left and that was it and the lady was telling ppl they could have the whole tray for 3 quid...shame really

they'll be alright, just trimming down.

The next ones on the cards are Land of Leather, Focus and Clinton Cards.

Sainsbury's have just posted news saying that they had their best ever Christmas.

As for Woolies, they ended up owing a rather hideous amount of cash to whom I work for and to add insult to injury, they sold off a lot of the shop fixtures that were owned by us which they were supposed to return. On a personal front though it's very sad as they had an awesome toy archive library and it also potentially means the demise of one of the few Palitoy subsidiaries, Chad Valley, leaving only Airfix left.
