wire transfer

you need to go to your bank, or any shop with a western union sign. There's no reason you can't use your credit card, but there might be a fee.

there should be no problem with security, but if you send money there's no insurance so you could get ripped off.

If they are sending you money there should be no problem except that someone you don't know has your bank account details. I think that's how those Nigerian scams work, so there might be a way they can access your funds??? Ask your bank what they think.

hmmmm, that's me out of ideas - what are you buying from Indonesia, if its watches, electrical goods etc my guess is that its a scam. If its Star Wars figures its probably fine, try a shop that does western union they may take credit cards.

Only had to use Western Union once, the seller wouldn't take paypal, and it was one of the few transactions I've had a problem with. Although, it was more the item getting trashed en route rather than the actual transfer itself. I was kinda lucky the seller was very decent about it and I got a full refund.

It's a bit of a risk though. In my case the seller was American, I'm not sure I would have gone for it if they had been in SE Asia, I know I definately wouldn't if they had been in Africa anywhere!

****ing hell mate, a scam if ever I heard one!

besides which the Wii's are kind of region coded like DVD players sometimes are, so if you buy one from Indonesia, firstly you would have to buy games from that country and secondly they may have a different TV standard to us, ie NTSC or PAL

****ed it off now anyway ,it was for 5 wii,s with loads of stuff for about Ã'£130 each

You couold have said that in the first place

A scam for sure

If anyone needs to send money to another country and don't have paypal - check out moneygram. Takes about 30 mins for money to transfer although there is a charge for sending.
Can be done at the local post office and the receiver can get the money from various places (the post office will have an address that is local to the receiver)

Although your probably screwed if its a scam
:(
