So glad I grew up WITHOUT 'social media'.
That's one of the best things I've read on here.rhyfelyser said:Money was tight in our household in the early 80's so i decided to start collecting the SW toys i wanted when i was a kid about 15 yrs ago. Most expensive SW toy i had as a kid was a speeder bike. Saw the actual film on telly for the first time with my grandparents in christmas 83 i think and was blown away by SW. My grandfather bought most of my childhood figures while on school holidays with him and he's still going strong these days at 91 yrs old. We're quite close and i recall the nostalgia of us visiting woolworths in his town and him buying one or two figures for me. I remember clearly choosing between a Biker scout or a AT-ST driver and picking the former and fast forward this year i decide to buy a MOC 77 back AT-ST driver simply because of the nostalgia factor. I still have that Biker scout btw.

I have been thinking about this over the weekend " why do you collect SW " .
I do because of the nostalgia and the feeling of the toys when I was young , and trying to recreate that feeling. For me it's never been financial , as I lost as much as I have gained .
What's your story ?
