Why did this Bib Fortuna go for $539?

Ok, it's graded AFA 80, but still! What am I missing that it went for that? Is it because it's so unusual to find one with a clear bubble?

Because my friend, people are dumb! The only thing I can see why this would go for a little more than average price is the clear bubble, but this is way above the average price. Jeff has quite the following, so maybe it could be that.

Especially if it's a very good risk it will eventually yellow anyway. Even though, like you say, he has a good following, some of the items he was selling at the same time went for what I believe to be quite below recent prices.

If I had any money left I would have certainly bought the Obi Wan.
