Welcome Pyro.

I hope you'll find them but stick around afterwards.

Ill try, but it looks like you need at least two jobs to be able to afford to collect vintage star wars items lol. The only vintage star wars items that interest me enough to collect are Ewok related items.

Luckily there's not that much produced ewok stuff around, and it's usually reasonably priced

it just so happens......

Welcome to the forum

Thanks but if i was to start collecting i would probably collect loose items. They would be cheaper and i would get more enjoyment from them lol.

*goes and checks protoye ewok figurs* I like a few of them. How much do they usually go for? They will probably be way out of my price range so you dont need to worry abut having competion from me when thy come up on ebay.

Hello

Wasnt sure to post this in the introductions, or new purchases...

I used to collect Vintage Stars Wars years ago, I collected everything and anything - figures, playsets, mini rigs etc.

The collection grew out of control and I was becoming obsessed, waking up at 5am and hitting the local boot sales, placing newspaper ads in the local press for Star Wars wanted (sure some of you can relate to the hold a collection can take and the aim in making it better)

Anyhow I sold the lot. Never to return. Or so I thought....

Two weeks ago a local Sci Fi and Toy Fair was being held near me. Only went as it was up the road, didnt intend on buying anything.

First thing that struck me were the Storm Troopers parading up and down the queue. Turns out the Rebellegion a group of Star Wars fans who dress up for fundraising for charity were at the Fair. These guys were great! Even had a full size remote controled R2 D2 beeping and wizzing around the stalls.

Then I saw a dealer who had some loose Star Wars for sale so I thought Id take a look to see how prices had changed over the years.

Holey Moley! Either the dealer had them priced very low or I had been paying way over the odds in the past! Not sure if the weapons are repro or not although the guy selling them said he didnt think they were.

Heres just a few I purchased and needless to stay Im back collecting again!

Looking back I passed over some figures including Last 17 as I was being picky on quality. Perhaps I should have bought them too.

This forum is great. Ive been learning about AFA, variations and COOs, things Ive never known about before! Ive already bought a few bits from Ebay aswell as from Lee on here. Aim now is to have a full set of loose figures once again :)

Welcome to the forum mate, the weapons look fine. I think your poncho luke might be a cross dressing nancy boy though

Haha he's wearing Leias poncho? All the figures were only £3 apart from the Luke Poncho and Luke Stormtrooper were £6 each. Best see if I can sort that poncho out!

welcome Andrew - and some great prices there

It would be worth taking a look inside Luke's helmet to check if its a repro - but at £6 who'd care.

Welcome on board mate.

Hopefully you'll get a lot of help with your collecting from the good people on here

(some of them actually know a a bit about Star Wars....not many though  )
