I guess I should say hello since I don't know everybody here and assume many don't know me.

I'm John and I live in the NY area of the US. Been collecting about 12 years, vintage for about 10. My areas of interest are bootlegs and prototypes, though prototypes do come first and many of my bootleg and even smaller prototype sales over the past year to raise money for bigger proto deals shows that. ;) I've also had a bit of a Biker Scout/Speeder Bike focus for about 10 years now. It's gone from wanting everything with either appearing on it to it's current state. Over the years I've sold my production stuff and actually sold the most complete character focused bootleg run in the hobby to fund other can't-pass-up things. Now, it's just prototypes for me.

I travel quite a bit for shows. I did a panel on bootlegs at CE so if any of you went you may have seen or met me.

I've been an editor at ToysRGus (theswca.com) for about 8 years now.

I do spend most of my free time over at RS so I can't say I'll be really active here but I've been trying to pop in and read.

So far I have survived a mass banning and know that talk of nazis is a no-no. ;)

Nope, i didnt know you John - ive been drifting in and out of collecting since the early 90s and nearly sold up recently but dived back in head first lol.

Welcome aboard m8y, always nice to meet more collectors with experience :)

Legend here, yes, but not usually in a good way. LOL Look around, there's a bunch of posts about "that arrogant prick from RS". I should have added that to my intro. I'm a bit opinionated. Love it or hate it I say how I feel. :) Tying not to ruffle any feathers yet...

Not an easy piece. Ask Martijn, he's had 2 that I know of over the years. ;)

I've only ever seen maybe 6-7. Off the top of my head I know JoeY, MikeM, Daren, Martijn (x2), and I *had* one that went to JoeY but I'm not sure who he sold it to. There may be a few others out there I'm missing but I'm sure the count is still less than 10. I'd expect that to be a $500+ piece in nice shape with weapon and box.

This made me laugh. Welcome John. I have to be fair i have read some of your posts over on RS in the past and thought wow this guy has some issues - but i have realised that this is due to people (including me over the years) asking some seriously dumb ass questions.

Its great to have you on board here and i hope you add to this already crazy community. :p

Johno LOL not to much isn't allowed here mate! It's good to see you answered the call to join...certainly silenced a few of them ROTFLMAO to tell the truth I think some are still in a state of shock :)

And for the record I have bought from John before, very accomodating when it came to helping me secure the piece I was after ;)

Being new to the hobby,i have read many of Johns posts on RS where many new collectors have benefited from his extensive knowledge when he has helped answer any questions when possible.People might not always agree with his opinions but the guy genuinely cares about the hobby & would hate for anyone to be scammed.I thought it was hilarious when he caught out Billy Boy Rodgers with his numerous lies & tied him up in knots to the point Billy Boy got so flustered he invented a new swear word for him(TWUNT!) :D
