oh and welcome tank, how do you manage all the insects/ reptiles. i have a mate who moved to oz about 3 years ago and some of the video's he sent put my mrs off ever setting foot in the place... red ant infestations, scorpian bites, spiders the size of your hands, snakes etc

Lol, you just sorta get used to it really....I was a typical 'pom' before i came over here; **** scared of a house spider & glad there's virtually no snakes in the uk.

Now, things are a bit different, you're aware that dangerous things are around, but just have to learn to just live with 'em.

The big spiders are pretty harmless. The most common dangerous little ones are redbacks, which to be honest are so common i could go and find one around the outside of the house right now if i tried. You just keep the young kids away from them.
As far as snakes are concerned, they're probably a bit worse, but i've only seen a real deadly one 3 times & 2 of them were roadkill.
Basically the real deadly animals live out bush normally well away from inhabited areas.

There is the ocean tho.....i try & stay outta that a fair bit!!!

oh great! really looking forward to my trip this summer!

Nice. Sounds like a great trip.

btw...i recommend taking your own ping pong balls to Bangkok. Much safer.

Bangkok, I bet your bringing a few diseases back with you as well!

And NO, I don't want them either!

Wow, you guys in these forums really are close!

Nah, Bollux would just take any opportunity to try it on with me!

You'd think he would have got the hint by now!

Weasel you little flirt, you dream of the day when there is a forum brokeback fishing trip!

Hi UK starwarsforum :) I'm James some of you know me from Rebelscum. I'm 35, married, have a 3 month old son. My collection is mainly loose variations. Not sure why I never joined earlier but I certainly like the sense of humour on these boards.

Cool mate, another aussie on the boards. I'm sorta both these days (well i've got 2 passports)
Got any pics of your loose collection? I'm into loose too, just starting down the path of variants...

I see you made your way to the internet sewer of vintage SW collecting

Welcome to the forum buddy :D

Hello everyone, thanks for the welcomes in the other thread. My name is Bryan, I live in the center of the world in Southern California USA. I'm a loose 3 3/4 action figure collector primarily focused on the late 70's and early 80's era of Sci-Fi toys. Battlestar Galactica, Tron, Star Wars, Buck Rogers and G.I. Joe are my main, core interests. I collect loose because when I was a kid I did not play with packaged toys.

I also collect Modern Star Wars, G.I. Joe & SW Gentle Giant Mini Busts. I'm a big fan of Animation, 90's Alternative and 80's Metal. Since this is a UK forum I must add that i'm a huge fan of British Comedy and anything with Rik Mayall and Ade Edmonson rules.

Some know me from Rebelscum where i've been a member since 2006. I've been collecting SW since my first Luke Skywalker figure in 1978. I quit collecting in 1985 where I sold off my entire collection for $80. I jumped back into collecting in 1993 and have been re-purchasing everything since. I joined here because I want to connect with other Vintage Star Wars collectors from around the world.

I will not give people a hard time for their collecting habits or beliefs. I will not use profanity to express myself, nor will I bring others down for doing so. I can be sarcastic at times but as a whole, i'm a pretty straight forward person. I will try to stick to the facts and try to contribute to the threads as much as my vintage knowledge will allow.

Hi Bryan ;) Give me a new RS signature sometime soon lol (nice to have you with us :) )

Welcome to the forum Bryan. Great to have another new member.

See Bollux is good for something, his dodgy ebay listings bring new members over from RS

Welcome mate!

I heartily agree with you Sir! Bottom and The Young Ones were absolute comedy gold  :D - bettered only by Fawlty Towers
