Hey guys,
Another noob around here.
I'm living in Australia now (met an Aussie sheila in a pub in Redhill a few years ago & my life got turned upside down), but spent the first 30 odd years of my life in various parts of Surrey.
I came across my old vintage collection (all beaters i'm afraid) when i shipped all my stuff over here, but it was enough to reignite a passion for vintage SW. I now spend just about all my spare cash on building a loose collection, as well as vehicles etc...
I know some of the names here from various other forums, & look forward to meeting the rest of you....

Mate, it's great right now. I'm living in Coffs Harbour (we had major floods recently which my mates in the UK said made the news there). It's half way between Sydney & Brisbane on the east coast. Great spot. Weather is great most of the time. Loving it over here, but i do miss a few things from "home" from time to time. The beer is a bit different!

We got a few other Aussies on here as well. Josh and Warrachuppin, no idea where abouts in Oz they are, but probably just round the corner, it's a tiny place anyway!

oh and welcome tank, how do you manage all the insects/ reptiles. i have a mate who moved to oz about 3 years ago and some of the video's he sent put my mrs off ever setting foot in the place... red ant infestations, scorpian bites, spiders the size of your hands, snakes etc

Now, things are a bit different, you're aware that dangerous things are around, but just have to learn to just live with 'em.
The big spiders are pretty harmless. The most common dangerous little ones are redbacks, which to be honest are so common i could go and find one around the outside of the house right now if i tried. You just keep the young kids away from them.
As far as snakes are concerned, they're probably a bit worse, but i've only seen a real deadly one 3 times & 2 of them were roadkill.
Basically the real deadly animals live out bush normally well away from inhabited areas.
There is the ocean tho.....i try & stay outta that a fair bit!!!
