I may be a Star Wars enthusiast, but when it comes to collecting knowledge, i haven't got a clue what is valuable and what is garbage... I am hoping to learn off this forum and maybe you guys could give me some pointers via a PM or something?
 
I am still new to this but just reading posts that interest you will help you get tuned in and ask some questions even they seem silly.
Then do a bit of research on other resource sites like, rebelscums archive and landos locker,
So when someone says they have a AFA 90 ROTJ MISB IMP TIE FS you will have some idea what the hell they mean.

Also read the posts as they degenerate into somebanter that has nothing to do with the title will give you an idea of the sense of humour you will need and who people are.

personally i cant wait till you meet the other Josh :lol: :lol:
 
hello all, thought i'd better register and introduce myself after lurking for a while

Name - Richard
Age - nearly 40
Single/Married - married to Emma
Residence - just outside Lichfield, Staffordshire
Occupation - works co-ordinater for a structural steelwork company
Kids - 1 boy, Jordan age 13
Pets - 3 dogs, 4 fish tanks, 2 Rankins Dragons, 1 Leopard Gecko and 2 Corn Snakes
Collecting Focus - used to be anything at all related to Star Wars but am now concentrating on vintage loose
Character Focus - non as yet

i,ve just recently got back into Star Wars collecting after a few years away spending money on other things (am also into photography) so i looked around a few of the forums, this one seemed about the friendliest and least anal so i joined and am looking forward to geeting involved

Welcome to the forum Richard. And good choice. We are a lot less anal than some of the other Star Wars forums, in fact, we sometimes forget what this forum is even for... :lol:

i have to admit that reading through the forum before i joined some of the banter that goes on made me laugh my nuts off, having worked as a welder for a good chunk of my working life i can tell you a thing or two about banter and general good natured abuse :shock:

Hi there finally decided to register after lurking around in the shadows.

I grew up with the OG figures and they still are a large part of my life,
I now live near Brighton but grew up in a small village in Essex.

I still collect but nothing major. But I do have every figure I ever owned as a kid along with every weapon (which me and my brother lovingly kept in an old tabacco tin. I mainly collect old loose figures as they are relatively cheaper and I like to let my kids handle them.

I collect a few other things vintage skateboards, G1 Transformers, and old Ghettoblasters. If anyone wants to trade G1 Transformers for some SW gear let me know.
