As a vintage collector I feel nothing for these retro kenner Style. I own a tarkin as that was the first one released but that was purely curiosity. But even when that was in hand i felt no joy.

Out of all those retro releases pictured I think the doctor and mothma are the best sculpts

I wouldn't say I have love for them - but I do think they are a great addition to the line - for me now they are better than the TVC - which I think have gone too far with articulation (who needs that much) and wayyyy to far in price. For me the 5 points of articulation with cool paint details and good accessories were the best - post Kenner I think EP1 and Power of the Jedi were the best lines - but anyway, I like the retro and figure they will be the only modern line I continue to collect properly - but for all that they don't quite hit like the old days - because it isn't the old days :)

Now, if they could sell these for 1980's prices that would help the 'back in the day' feeling and be perfect :)

I don't really feel the love, either, but I have a few, because they're pretty cool and work well with the originals. They can never hold that ingrained nostalgia that the originals will always have, though.

As above really. I bought the set with yakface in, and pretty soon moved him on - if I want a Yak, I’ll just buy a Yak at some point. I do like the unproduced figures though, Han Stormy, Luke Ceremony etc and find they fit in well with vintage.

Agreed, no love from me but the unproduced lines I get, that’s the draw in collecting vintage it’s original and from the time itself which draws in the nostalgia, that’s the draw for me, but modern has its place for those that do like it.
