Anytime the wife has a night out... duvet comes down stairs and one of the three goes on.... Usually start doing something else and flit in and out, she could do with going out more often, come to think of it.

I think the less said about this the better

My wife and daughter don't understand why I can't keep awake for the entire film - but it's my chill time, stick one of them on and I'm sound asleep within 20 minutes

I hearvyou with this.. Went through a bout of insomnia once, so when i got back from college of a night would put empire on the Vhs and relax and fall asleep, then my dad would come in and give me the 'no wonder you're not sleeping at night!!!'

Helpfull!!

Sorry to bump a bit of an older thread, but I kind of have a cool story I wanted to share. I last watched Star Wars the week after Christmas with my boyfriend.

As I have mentioned before, my boyfriend got me into collecting and he didn't have the OT on blu-ray yet but really wanted them. I bought them for him for Christmas. That was great, he was happy, but part 2 of the gift is the fun part! My youngest brother works at a movie theatre and after the last movie of the evening has started for the "public", you can go watch whatever movie you want or bring in DVDs or blu-rays and watch those on the big screen and nobody else is in the theatre, just you! So, I took my boyfriend to the movie theatre and just the two of us watched ANH and ESB on the big screen. We ran out of time for ROTJ, but next time we are back in my home town, we'll be watching ROTJ! He was pretty excited and got me to bring my camera to take pictures of him and Star Wars on the big screen.

I haven't watched them in a few years. I've always rationed myself on Star Wars viewings so as not to spoil them. Whever it's on TV i make sure i don't start watching and get sucked in. I have the edited trilogy which i find unwatchable but a few years back i bought the unedited cinema versions on DVD which altho not as slick looking as the edits are free of added cartoon characters so the only versions i will ever watch.
However my current female has informed me she's never actually seen any of the original trilogy (distict lack of gasps following that statement ) But is keen to give it a go. She's young but i've told her that's no excuse. She's also not into sci-fi at all (pauses for gasps...) so i'm not hopeful but i've promised to explain to her in a power-point presentation just why Star Wars is incredible, a work of pure genius, a masterclass in effects and visuals and more than it may first appear. Will that help? I doubt it...

I've got a 3 year old who loves Cars the movie. Took a gamble and put Episode 1 on, (figured it was the most cartoony). Lo and behold he sat through it......

Just watched Episode III, up next, original trilogy?

You did well to get a 3 yr old to sit through the whole film, the signs look good for having a sw loving child :) congratulations, it must be a huge relief :D

My son (now 5) did manage to sit through them all, but my daughter (6) succumbs to boredom and has been put off by the end fight scene in III, i kind of forgot how dark it was and let it run through
